I suffer from depression. I am bi-polar and have been on and off depressants for a few years now. I did my first cycle a few months ago. I weined myself off of paxil before I started. I felt pretty good, almost like a high during my cycle as my confidence raised and what not. Shortly after my cycle I did start to get depressed again, I started my paxil up again about 2 weeks after and I am fine today.
If your see a counselling and/or psychiatrist I definatly disagree with doing a cycle. The gear affects everything. Your mood/temperment/anxiety everything while on it and obviously dropping out at the end. Theres no possible proper way to get help while on the gear IMO. Theres to many other variables going on blocking the real root of your depression. And you may actually think your doing great while on it giving up any help. Only to bottom out after.
Everybody with depression suffers a semi-different type and/or for different reasons/factors. I'm not saying that me doing the gear with depression is smart by any means. But I myself felt comfortable with going off my meds for a few months and going back on. I have been off and on them for years now so I know, a little better how my body would react for a time not on them.
I do know when I am not on my meds I am more edgy, so I try and stay away from the more aggresive stuff.
Anyways, I dont reccomend following what I did at all. There are a lot of risks involved and I have had a lot of success and learnt a lot about myself and my depression on how to handle it.
