I've been reading my ass off in regards to insulin as I've been thinking about taking the GH/Insulin leap lately. The initial thread question is fairly clear, what exactly are you guys eating and at what time intervals after your inject.
Also if anyone has time can you check this out and tell me if I'm getting this correct. From what I understand I'd run it in 4 week on 4 week off interval/ I would do this at most twice and then get off for a while. I would start at 2 IU's as I'm going to be conservative and increase by 1 IU until I feel comfortable or until I get to 10 IU's. I would take this post workout only.
Now information gets a little fuzzy after this as far as carb intake goes. I understand that I want to keep my fats low or even at 0, but the carb intake is throwing me off. I've read 10 grams of carbs to 1 IU is not absolutely necessary but a good rule of thumb. If I were to take 10 IU's post workout that would mean 100 grams of carbs. Would these carbs be taken in immediately to within the first 15 minutes or would I take around 60 grams of carbs immediately and spread the rest out over the next 40 minutes or so until I eat another wholesome meal Ex: Chicken and rice? Also for that second meal how many carbs are you looking to take in. And are these the only two meals you should be concerned about with regards to the humalog?
Sorry this is longer than I thought it would be but Insulin is not something I want to play with if I'm not exactly sure how to take it.
