Opening Ampules

Tried to open an ampule of BA water for my brothers growth
thought I knew what I was doing untill the frigin thing shattered. I tried scoring it with a sarated knife at the blue dot anf gently snaping it off........any help would be apreciated.

take a pen top and place it over the neck. then just put pressure on both breaking points and press away from your body. it should crack right off at the neck.

I have been using a very thin file from the hardware store and it works great. My wife is an RN and she tells me just to snap them off. I always score it first.

spend a few bucks and get an amp opener....

getpinz.com has them, and they are under ten bucks

yeah but a pen cap is free!!!! :D

I just popped them qucik off. If you do it slowly the point of stress will spread throuhg the amp. Just grab it and snap it.

Thanx all for taking the time, I think I'll pass on the info, so I dont break it again, it seems easy, but the easier things are I screw up. Quick Story my wife and kids were on vacation I had some free time and decided to clean the house for her. Really started to get into it, decided to wash the comforter. They got in late, next morning she calls me at work to thank me for destroying the new comforter her mom gave us for a Christmas present
( so that "dry clean only" tag really means something.

What i always do.... is i hold the amp in my left hand firmly by the body..... face the nearest garbage pail... and with my right middle finger.. I flick the muthafugger as hard as i can and watch the lil sucker fly straight off towards the garbage... i dont miss often.. .

Pen cap has always worked for me and it is free as SC says... Yep I am married too...lol... oh and a tight fcuker...lol...
