hey everyone. i am a college basketball player who is also an avid weightlifter. the only supplements i have ever used are protein and creatine. i have often thought about taking a cycle of steroids, but i am not trying to be "Big Pappa Buff" either. i was just wondering if their is anything out there or any cycle i can do that is capable of building some muscle but also simply enhance performance. this sounds like a dumb question and there is probably no such drug out there but any advice would greatly be appreciated.

A simple test only cycle would definitely build you some muscle and "enhance performance." To me though, if I'm playing ball at your level for a "big" college. I wouldn't risk it for chance of testing and losing what I've worked for all this time. If you're hell bent, though and don't want to grow a whole lot, do a test enan or cyp cycle @ 400mg per week and you should see results.

you could do a cycle of test @ 400-500mg a week and use eq at 400 and you will get good gains and harden up, no matter what you take your not going to gain a ton unless your training, diet, and rest are all in check, I suggest do some homework, look around see whats out there and what it does, the answers are here or on other sites, use the search button. I know summer is the best time to juice, no drug test, trust me they are not going to call u at home. It would help of a lot if u gave your stats and lifting experience.

sorry about that fellas. okay, i'm 6'2 170 lbs w/ 4% bf and i've been training heavily for 3 years. if i decide to take test enan @ 400mg per week should i expect to have any hormonal imbalance? also how many cycles would you recommend?Last edited by rippedsucka; 06-01-04, 07:20 PM.

bro of course your going to have a hormonal imbalance while on until the end of pct, your doing steriods, n e ways one cycle should be enough if your diet, rest, and training are good, but i suggest test enth @ 500mg a week for 10 weeks. get proper pct and if you have no idea what i am talking about then you need to put the juice on hold and do some homework, research on this site. there is so much info here.

i always notice how "newbies" never ask/care about age... why? it's more important then you think for soo many reasons. also, why do most "newbies" offer other "newbies" such crazy cycle advice? 500mg/wk for a first-timer?!?! a lot of the posts here seem like it's the blind leading the blind.

Re: newbie question
I am going to go against the grain and suggest an EQ cycle with some proviron thrown in for libido issues (if they arise). Eq is a great drug, increases RBC (though they all do to a certain point) and it has regenerative properties for the structure of your body that might help in BB. You won't see massive gains but you will see quality gains. I would read up on the profiles for eq and then make a decision based on what you learn. also read up on proviron as wellOriginally posted by rippedsucka

beginning cycle of eq 500mg/week 12 weeks
proviron 25-50mg a day as needed.

Re: Re: newbie question
BINGO. I like test only cycles, but for guys who suggest it for EVERYTHING are too narrow minded and have to realize that not everyone has the same goals. An Eq only cycle, maybe some winny and proviron would be an awsome cycle for a basketball player.Originally posted by stonecold54

One thing though, I noticed you say you are 6'2'' @ 4%. This tells me you need to get your diet in check. 4% naturally is not healthy and pretty unlikely.

I'm 19 years old and normally you would be right about the 4% bf not being healthy. however, my trainer told me that many people would think that, but that i am in excellent condition. i also appreciate all the info , but you know being a newbie and all you hear so many different things from so many different poeple that you really don't know where to turn.

Re: Re: Re: Re: newbie question
You need to do your won research then. It is the best way for you to know what you want/need. Whever suggesting a cycle or drugs to look into, I always ask for goals. I like test, but my goals are different than yours. Test could possibly slow you down and give you a jump in muscle mass that will effect you. I jumped 20lbs in 8 weeks once and had an additional 4-5lbs in water weight. It was a shock to the body and I would run out of breath walking up and down steps.Originally posted by rippedsucka

Eq gives quality gains over a longer period. It helps sooth achy joints associated with sports and it doesn't cause any water retention.
