  • Isn't this dangerous advice?

I have been playing that virtual bodybuilder game and sometimes I check out the forums there. I usually don't post there but in this one, I thought that I should pipe up a bit. The thread topic was "Beginner's Bulk Cycle" and I was shocked to hear some of the advice I read there. From the quality of posts on the website, it appears that there are a lot of kids who play the game and use the board. Of course, they all want big muscles and right now isn't soon enough for them. I posted as Primal One. My point was whether they should consider using steroids at all before the age of 21 or so. I was basically blown off when I brought that point up. What do you think about the advice they gave "newbies" on steroid use, especially the mod there? Here is the link

Places like that make me appreciate this board and its members so much more. It's like night and day.

I thought the link was going to take me to bodybuilding.com forums. Their are some good guys there, but the kids are out of control sometimes.

Well, if I took steroids like many guys, I could be big too.

well, I could not hold off and posted on that thread. .the guy running the board or at least one of the higher up mods is like 19. . .and has geared it up for a bit by the sounds of it . . .boards like that are not good news. .:(
Not saying I am a rose among the thorns as I did do gear when I was 19 but I also trained like a madman and had a decent physique after 9 years natty!

CG... i guess the guy thinks your statements are "ignorant and unlogical"... from his posts following yours. that board is pathetic and needs some serious help.

Nice post on that thread, CG. Too bad they don't listen to your advice. Arrogance is the greatest flaw of man.

Thanks for the input, guys. Someone is going to end up getting hurt following their advice. Kids simply aren't responsible enough to take that plunge and I believe that the mod (for one) is one of them. He gives a hollow arguement by trying to require proof that early steroid use in teens and young adults is unsafe yet he cannot prove that it is. In fact, he even admits to the potential growth plate issue, the possibility of liver damage from alcohol or or other drugs in conjunction with steroid use- assuming that those interested in cycling are in excellent physical health, and even that someone who uses but doesn't understand the safety issues will get messed up. As a default, he states that someone who knows what they're doing will be fine. It's ludicrous to think that among other things, that a high school kid who reads that stuff on their website is going to be able to make an informed decision on his/her health when these same guys are promoting cycles of up to 2g's a week of combination test/whatever cycles. A mod should be much more responsible than that. They shouldn't be a mod just because they've used steroids for a year either. I shiver to think of people following the advice on boards like that. I'd be curious to see what kind of health conditions these guys will have a few years from now.

IMHO, it's guys like them who promote the "easy way to get muscles" to kids and who have to share in the blame of why prohormones will be banned here in the US. They glorify the gains while minimizing the risk. Some high school kid uses stuff that they don't truly understand and gets messed up. Next, their parents get involved and lawsuits start flying against the manufacturers and then the media gets involved. This only adds fire to the big pharms' bullshit case for driving the supplement industry out of business and the inevitable government demonizing AAS/prohormones and banning their use from responsible people.

How does a newbie kid even recognize if he is getting gyno until it really kicks in? Or what about getting liver or kidney damage? How many teens will get their bloodwork values done? I'd bet none. Either they don't recognize symptoms or they won't get much sleep worrying about it at night. Either way, it's not healthy for them. As an example, I personally knew a kid that was 17 when he started juicing and by the age of 19, already had two heart attacks due to extremely high blood pressure that he wasn't even aware of at the time. I won't post in that forum again because anything contrary seems to fall upon deaf ears. Sad.

Wow primal, thankfully you butted into that one rather than just letting all that bad info go uncontested and thought to be accurate by some 17 yr old kid. Nice touch GT I liked the end ;)

Great stuff guys. I like how you slipped "superiormuscle.com" dow at the bottom too. LOL As you can see, these idiots think like most kids. It's all about gear...and lots of it.

Good post, GT. I've seen a few guys from there were over here at one time but were eventually banned. Prolly for the XXX section, lol. Gives you the idea of the mindset there, I guess.
