TEST BASE, easiest conversion???
What is the easiest PH powder to convert to TEST BASE ? 1-Test, or 4-Ad? I have seen the 1-Test posts, but have also seen A conversion method using 4-ad powder (which is dirt cheap as you may know!) It is obvious that alot of conversions from PH to various AS are for the advanced and elite chemists, however, converting to Test base should require far less procedure as well as materials, right? Anyone read info on this anywhere?

4-AD can be converted to test base by oxidation with MnO2 in dichloromethane or chloroform. -
I really think you will be better off doing a pellet conversion in terms or price.Comment

Really? How much Test do you yield??
After converting 1 gram of 4-Ad powder, how much Test base would be expected? I read this on another forum "1g 4AD + 100mL chloroform + 10g MnO2 = test base 100% after 2 hours shaking at room temp
yield is 93% when crystalized with methanol and filtered on paper" Or is that statement even true?? What amount of base is usually left after synovex cart conversion, 20g???Comment
