i have read several things re: glass ampules and drawing from them, and it seems in the medical community, they promote using atleast a 20 gauge needle to draw from opened ampules to help against drawing pieces of glass into the syringe; i have seen this for several procedures, including drwaing dye for angiograms, which is an intravenous procedure, so im sure the margin for error is even less since we are talking about intramuscular work as it applies to athletes..albeit, it is impossible to not have microscopic pieces of glass in the compound, however, according to what ive read, it seems that the pieces of most concern are those that can be kept out from by using atleast 20 gauge, and i would imagine most users out there are using 21-23...
