Traveling with Gear -- need advice ASAP

going on a 2 week vacation. I need to get 2 loaded pinz up to maryland from Florida. I can take my shots for when i am in maryland right before I leave...... but i will need to take them again before i leave maryland for aruba.... thoughts on getting the two loaded pinz to maryland??

1. mail in ziplock bag (prevent leakage) and wrap in foil
2. wrap in foil and throw them in my toiletry kit and check it under the plane??

my advice? don't take pins anywhere near an airplane. especially loaded ones...

My Dad is diabetic and they gave him a lot of problems when he was in Seattle because of his slin pins. He had his bottle of insulin and a few needles for his trip along with his meter and everything, and they wouldn't let him take an ultra fine, .5" needle with him. Of course if something would have happened to him and he needed to take a shot a very large lawsuit would have been placed on the airline I'm sure.

I don't think taking a loaded 23 guage or whatever size pin would be a very good idea. If they give a very hard time for being diabetic and have slin pins, than something for IM injections like you would have would be more than a little risky IMO.

obviously not a great idea but i can't imagine that two pins would show up on an x-ray. I have experience with them and a needle is so fine it won't show up as heavy metal and a plasitc syringe isn't going to show up at all. but I am not recommending it. LOL

I think it will come down to being how attentive the tech. is behind the monitor. The case I was speaking of with my Dad, he got there with the needles from houston, but they caught him on the way home and wouldn't let back with them. Plus I think he had some issues with the cruise ship too.

It's not something I would even partly suggest trying though. You'd be better off trying to stop by a pharmacy and buying pins wherever you are at.

Here's a thought. Why not just fill the syringes, plug them and them just pick up a couple of needles once you arrinve in maryland? I'm sure there are pharmacies there just like anywhere else. I might be mistaken but I think it may be federal statute now that you can get up to 20 needles and syringes with out a script.

I hear you Bro...I'm dealing with thte same problem. Going on Vaca to FL in late August. We were originally going to drive but my girl can't get enough days off from work so we have to fly. I am going to be gone for 2 weeks mid cycle of Cyp, EQ, tren. Does anyone know if you can get pins OTC in Florida? If so maybe I'll just pack the amps of Testex and at least stick those. Should amps be ok to get on the plane?

same problem here. going to Punta Cana Last 2 weeks of this month. I have no idea as for what I am gonna do either. I was thinking of filling up some slin vials with my gear and keeping my pins sealed. I don't want any trouble, but don't wanna crash either. I am gonna be gone 12 days. I am on aratest 250 and eq, and will be right in the middle of my cycle too.

U-100 Slin pins are otc, I don't think the others are though.

i would not reccomend it at all bro-- yes you may get by without detection but are you willing to chance it-- not me bro

you will bring unwanted attention onto yourself and end up fucking up your vacation to boot-- not worth it

I used to live in Palm Beach, FL, and I always bought my pins OTC no problem..

I would not bring pins down there.. Its just too easy to stop by a local pharmacy and get them. I sometimes would have to look a bit, but they WILL sell them to you.. Just try a few different places.

Rite Aid is the one I would always use down there, btw.. Never had a problem, but I think that they knew me after awhile.
