  • Question Regarding HGH and carbs.

Ok, as most of you know, im running 6iu Jintropin everyday. About 2 weeks ago I added a weight gainer shake in as my breakfast meal just for the extra cals. Anyway, I have been noticing since I added that shake that after I drink it, for the rest of the day I am tired and I generally dont feel good.

This weight gainer has 250G carbs per 2 scoops. 20g from sugar and the rest from malodextrin.

I have read a few articles that said something about GH actually switches your body from a carb burning machine to a fat burning machine.

My question is, does my body not know what to do with all the extra carbs from the weight gainer shake because of the GH and thus making me feel this way?

Let me know what you guys think.

I don't know if it is from the GH or not but I always felt like that when I took any high calorie shake. Interesting though what the body is doing if it is focusing on burning fat. It almost would create a paradox where the body was focused on the fat but when extra carbs came in since they were not burned off they would turn into fat which the GH would eventually get so for energy it would actually make sense to use healthy fats as the source of energy since that is what your body wants. I don't know I am just throwing ideas out there.

gh can cause lethargy by itself. in addition to that, maltodextrin is high GI and you're probably just crashing afterwards.

btw...i really doubt that GH causes your body to burn stored fat over dietary calories...it goes against everything that our bodies are programed to do. it's not very likely.

Im not saying GH causes my body to use stored fat as an energy source over dietry calories. Im saying that of the 2 choices in dietry calories, fat/carbs that GH may cause the body to use all the fat and the carbs kinda go on the side burner so to speak.

even so, it would have to cause a huge mutation in cell metabolism for that to be true.

Sounds to me like your body is having issues with insulin regulation, which as we all know GH interfers with (i.e. GH can make you hypoglycemic). Are you running any insulin? I thought you were. Also do you ever measure your blood sugar/glucose? If carbs are making you feel lousy, I think your insulin levels are the problem, not the GH directly. Just a thought bro.

If it's possible, then it means your body is using fat for a main source of energy rather than glucose. Like stone said, any overcompensation of carbs is going to become fat that will be getting burned anyway. Who knows? Maybe a possible spike in insulin is leaving you feeling that way?

What I did this morning was only used 1 scoop of the weight gainer and replaced the other scoop with regular whey protein. I had no problems. I guess its just to many carbs at 1 time.

250g at one sitting is a hell of a lot of carbs. it sounds to me like you're having a huge insulin spike, then crash. i don't think it's hypoglycemia because those symptoms are anxiety, decreased mental function, confusion, etc. your situation sounds more like a plain ol' carb-coma.
