Worst shot yet

today was my 5th shot,and it didnt go so smooth. I tried to go in my right quad and it hurt really bad as i tried to penetrate,so i pulled out and tried again,and that hurt...so i tried again and it hurt too.Like i was hitting a nerve,but i am not sure what it was cuz i have never hit a nerve before,but dam it was uncomfortable
So i decided to switch to my left quad,and it hurt at first poke,so i went to a different spot and went really slow,it seemed to be fine.
It was definitely not somethin i want to happen again.it was by far my worst experience...anyone have any tips,i mean i know you dont know exactly what i did so its hard to help,but i dunno if someone has some advice...thanx

Lightly touch the skin with the needle before you inject. If you feel some slight pain, don't inject there. Keep poking around until you find a spot where you don't feel the prick. Inject there.

yep thats what i do its funny how just a lil touch and you know its not the right spot. youll get used to it, or you could always hit the glutes they never hurt.

i think your biggest problem is you need to relax bro -- i feel by your post that your still real nervous when it comes to injections--

i think you tense up ?when you do so it makes for a more painful and difficult injection

just learn to relax

i am not nervous when i do it,i really feel relaxed,i should have thought of the prick around thing,i will definitely do that next time...i might be tense when i do it,but i dont feel it...thanx guys,i really appreciate all the help

when you stick yourself with a needle, do it quick! if you go slow of course it's gonna hurt.
line it up.......and bam, just stick it in real quick...don't go slow.
if you stick it in fast and it still hurts, try a different spot.

Slow is much better for me too, pierce the skin and slide in

every time you use the needle to pierce the skin it gets significantly duller, i've seen microscope pictures of the edge after just one use and it's significant, causes more tearing, and thus more scar tissue and much more pain. Once you find a spot, just do it and get it over with!

nice pics,makes a good point,but does that mean anytime i touch my skin to check for sensitivity or when i actually press the tip into the skin because i only penetrated 2 times and the 3rd i went in and did,the others were more of pokes and then me sayin to myself "son of a b*tch"

are you swabbing with alcohol each time? I have noticed that if I don't let the alchohol evaporate before I do my shot it stings like a sonofabitch when I poke through. also if I don't break the skin fast then it hurts.

Yea, I kind of have to do what GT said and just dart it into the skin, after that it's slowly into the muscle. If I pussy push the shit through the skin, I can feel the skin pop when the needle breaks through.
