  • Who runs anti-estro all the time?

Just curious. I am feelin gyno commin on, and I am running Nolva. I do not cycle I just run 200mg/wk as perscribed by my Dr.

I had gyno when I was 13 but it went away on its own after 6 months or so. Should I just take an anti-e all the time?

I don't quite understand your post. I thought you just said that you are running nolva. You don't cycle off, but seems you are prone to gyno, so you may want to run the anti-e while you are taking your prescribed dose.

I would only use novaldex if you are going to run it all the time? how much are you running?

I started taking 20mg/day of Nolva. And my HRT test cyp dose is 200 mg/wk.

I guess what I was wondering is, if there is anything wrong with just running Nolva all the time. Or for that matter Armidex.

Shouldn't be a prob. Only bad thing is that nolva lowers your igf-1 levels by around 25% or so. I would recommend a serm like nolva over an anti-aromatase like a-dex.

I take letro during my entire cycle...if I was on HRT, I would take it all the time. If you are prone to gyno, it's a must IMO to run either letrozole or arimidex...Nolva alone doesn't get the job done in many cases.

I take Evista ( Raloxifene) it is Nolva's cousing if you will. I too am on HRT and it does not cause me any problems at 60mgs every day. My doc would not give me Nolvadex when I ask for it, but I really like this stuff. BTW it is made by Lilly. Here is a little more info...

Beneficial effects of raloxifene and tamoxifen in the treatment of pubertal gynecomastia.

OBJECTIVES: To assess the efficacy of the anti-estrogens tamoxifen and raloxifen in the medical management of persistent pubertal gynecomastia. STUDY DESIGN: Retrospective chart review of 38 consecutive patients with persistent pubertal gynecomastia who presented to a pediatric endocrinology clinic. Patients received reassurance alone or a 3- to 9-month course of an estrogen receptor modifier (tamoxifen or raloxifene). RESULTS: Mean (SD) age of treated subjects was 14.6 (1.5) years with gynecomastia duration of 28.3 (16.4) months. Mean reduction in breast nodule diameter was 2.1 cm (95% CI 1.7, 2.7, P <.0001) after treatment with tamoxifen and 2.5 cm (95% CI 1.7, 3.3, P <.0001) with raloxifene. Some improvement was seen in 86% of patients receiving tamoxifen and in 91% receiving raloxifene, but a greater proportion had a significant decrease (>50%) with raloxifene (86%) than tamoxifen (41%). No side effects were seen in any patients. CONCLUSION: Inhibition of estrogen receptor action in the breast appears to be safe and effective in reducing persistent pubertal gynecomastia, with a better response to raloxifene than to tamoxifen. Further study is required to determine that this is truly a treatment effect.
