  • Diet and cardio change during PCT

Sup guys, i wanted to know if I should change my diet in about 2 weeks from now. Not to a high calorie diet but eating a little more. I ask this since right now im eating lean foods and doing cardio to reduce some bf%. Im also doing 30 minutes of cardio 3-4 times a week. Since ive read at various boards saying thats its not good to be on low carbs and do that much cardio during pct cause of risk of losing gains. I dont know if this is true, thats why im posting this, cause i wanna be able to keep my gains.
Im gonna use Nolva for pct.:D

I'm not sure about the cardio aspect, but from what I've read you do want to up your calories somewhat to help counteract some of the cortisol rebound your body will experience. I'm going to look for more info on this right now so I'll get back to you. I am also starting PCT in a week so I've been doing some research.

the mistake i did last year and regret was that while on pct, i was jogging, doing cardio, and eating low carbs. I went from 230 i ahd gained from the cycle to 215 or so. I had lost 15 pounds. I felt smaller and weaker. Im gonna up the calories up a little bit, maybe adding a small meal or even a shake. Would creatine be a good choice to add into it too.

Personally I like adding creatine. If anything it helps to keep you weight up. More importantly I would make sure you focus on your post WO nutrition if you not already. I am a believer in raising insulin levels post WO. Make sure your ingesting enough simple carbs along with sufficient protein immediately after working out. I think this PCT I am going to run insulin post WO as a bridge into my next cycle but I wouldn't recommend using insulin unless you've done your research. For more info on pre/post WO nutrition check out yellowjacket's post in the nutrition forum. Worth reading!

I would make sure that you are getting enough calories while you are on PCT. Your body will be shedding some weight anyway, so there is no need to make the problem worse by puting it in a state of catabolism with your diet. Remember that you dont have the extra test in there anymore, preventing you from losing muscle.

I think a WG is a bit overkill. What CZ said about PW nutrition was spot on IMHO.:D
