A lump in my rump

Alright well I injected some vet grade A and D complex yesterday in my right glute. Everything seemed to be fine, when I apirated I got bubbles so I injected. It hurt for about 5min then it was fine for a few hours next thing I know I feel some swelling starting on my butt and it hurts. The swelling can't be noticed by the naked eye but can be felt. This was the first oil based inject I have ever done, so I don't know what's going on. If anybody have any advice or a clue why it would be like this please feel free to speak up. Thanks

a 1/2cc shouldn't make a big bump. how big is it? did you use the same needle to draw with as inject with. clean the site with alcohol. you should be fine. i bump up all the time. just part of it make sure you are clean, using a different pin and cleaning the top of your vial, and you will be fine. and aspirate..

It was a A and D vitamin complex. Also yeah it was a sterile needle that i drew with then I changed needles and used another brand new one. Also I did wipe everything up with alcohol before and after. I thought it was a good inject b/c there was barely any blood when I took the needle out. It was like perfect besides for this lump on my butt

and it is oil based? this sounds weird to me, why don't you just take pills? how big was your needle? how fast did you inject it? how thick was the solution?

I'm wondering if this guy is being a touch paranoid and doesn't want to say what he really injected. Matt, if what I'm guessing is right, please tell us exactly what you injected...so we can give you an informed opinion.

No really I swear it was just vitamins. It's by durvet it's vitamin A D injection.

Yes it is oil based. It has propylene glycol decaprylate in it and if I remember readin right that can cause some swelling. But anyway it is a little bit better today so i'm sure i'll be fine.
