  • Need advise!

    Been on super supplments, on my off cycle. Tendons are hurting real bad, what if any, thing I can take over and above fish oils!

          Depends on which super supps you were taking. Some increase production of collegin precursers and so actually help tendons and others decrease them and make tendons weaker.

          I have had tendon problems in the past; still do but not as bad now. HGH increases collegin precursers several fold and has greatley attenuated my own tendon problems.

            Further to Spidey's comments on how different AS effect collagen synthesis, I always take Glucosamine Sulphate, as well as ensuring I get plenty of Vitamin C (200mg per day) this helps the regeneration of connective tissues like tendons and ligaments.

            Other than that I think its important to vary your training so that your not going super heavy/low reps every week. I have found that varying your rep range e.g some weeks high repping and superseting, keeps the intensity, increases blood flow (helping to disburse scar tissue and micro tears ) while lessening the load on tendons and thus allowing time for them to recover and regenerate.
