  • Dosing protocols for Adequan/Arteparon

Found human dosing protocols for Adequan/Arteparon. I have had adequan for awhile i even tryed it at low doses but i wanted to know alot more about it . I used a dose of 100mg intraarticularly and the effects were immediate but i decided in hindsight id like to know alot more about what i was shooting into my joints.

Arteparon has been used in veterinary medicine in Europe for over two decades for treatment of degenerative joint disease. The drug is administered directly into the diseased joint to improve functional properties of the cartilage and to stimulate cartilage metabolism. The effect of Arteparon administered intraarticularly or intramuscularly has also been investigated in humans with osteoarthritis of hip-joints. Patients received either six injections with 125 mg/0.5 ml intraarticularly or 10 injections with 125 mg/0.5 ml IM. Reduction of pain, and improved function and motility of the treated hip-joints was observed, and results were similar irrespective of the method of administration.

This is the only dosing i find for injecting it and its a great article although alot of the info is on orally administering the drug

And one other usefull bit of info more than one expert has said in his article very high doses of vitamin C make the treatment more effective.

House, does it have to injected directly into the effected joint? Or just a regular glute injection? I was planning on using a low dose of Deca(100-200mgs/wk), but might try this instead.

there are 2 different kinds --

make sure the one you get say's intramuscular -- inject it like you would your gear- deep in the muscle --

if you get the other kind -- it has to be injected directly into the affected joint - ouch

so make sure it say's intramuscular

Intraarticularly is the hot ticket if you know how to inject it or know someone that does i recommend it. When injected directly into the joint it has an anelgesic effect (Instant gratification).. It does burn but its no worse then a cortizone shot.

If your not afraid of injecting into the joint there is a much better compound available and also easily obtained via a search on the net.
Hylagan has been shown in studies to be more effective than adequan but is also more expensive. I can post the studies if anyone is interested.

The major difference between the two is Hylagan is expensive and only an IA med. Hylagan is $109 for 2ml/20mg and you need 5 2ml shots for a treatment cycle. Adequan is available in 2 versions $30 for 1ml 250mg IA or $59 for 5ml/500mg IM. Adequan/ Arteparon is shown to be equally effective either way although has an anelgesic effect when administered IA.

          Some info on Hylagan
