How do you tell if you've got an abcess

Shoulder has been very sore for 4 days now, site was red but i blew it off as normal and it went away, still feels like there may be problems under the skin though. If anyone has had one what were your symptoms and how did you get rid of it?

if the redness has gone away i would not worry to much bro-- has the site grown larger or is it getting smaller?

is it warm to the touch??

an abcess is very , very painful -- trust me you will know when you have one

like house said they are very painful, if it's an abcess it will usually itch and be really red

What did you take and how many cc was it?I shot some prop in my quad and I was in pain for over a week.injection site turned red but it went away by itself and I had the flu like sympthoms some fever and felt very tired.I tought for sure I had some kind of an infection but it wasn't.so some times it depends on the brand and the dosage amount.hopefully yours will go away too bro,hope you feel better soon.

It was a high volume shot in my right delt and the redness around the area was making me worry, but it has subsided now. I've grown accustomed to the typical swelling and pain and redness over the years, but the way it was looking had me a little nervous. All is well now though, thanx for the replies

i took a 2cc shot in the right delt, 1ccDeca and 1 cc Test suspension. My whole shoulder hurt for about 3 weeks. There was a light bruise on my whole upper arm(elbow to shoulder) . Most of the bruise was yellowish with a little purpleish around the uotside of the bruise. The bruise is now gone but the shoulder is still a little sore. Thank god it was my last delt shot for the cycle.
