  • Cholesterol fighters and AAS/Prohormones?

As steroids and Phs generally elevate one's cholesterol profile, would it be

    a) safe

    b) prudent

to take a cholesterol fighter like Lipitor or Zocor if on-cycle? Would the statin drugs interact unpleasantly with high levels of test or a derivative of test?

    OR

Would it be best to use the statin drugs first and lower ones LDL levels and then administer your cycle and go back to them afterwards if necessary?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have used Lipitor while on for years and have never had a problem. Has always worked great. know plenty who have done the same with good results and no problems. I personally use Lipitor on and off.

I'm NOT advocating the self-administration of statin drugs (whole slew of potential serious side effects), but Crestor is a far better drug than Lipitor for those of you determined to do so.

I use both Zocor and Zeita. Prescribed by my doctor for my cholesterol problem i had long before steroid use. I use juice and these and have never had any interaction.

Thanks everyone. I have used Lipitor for non-AAS elevated cholesterol, which had elevated while I was sick in recent months. In think that it was primarily genetic and was elevated due to lack of exercise (not that I didn't try, lol) and some diet changes.
