Well, last time I'll be honest with any fucking nurse practioner. Saw her for acne on my chest. She wanted to put me on Acutane, I kept saying no, I heard that its terrible for your body. SHe kept claiming there was nothing wrong with acutane and that its perfectly safe. She could tell I was a bodybuilder and asked me if the reason I don't want to take it was because of steroids. I was honest and told her I've taken them before. And actually I've been off for about 5 months now. Well bitch comes in two minutes later and tells me I could go impotent. I almost threw her head through the fucking door. Dumb white trash fat bitch. I wouldn't even take acutane if I never used steroids either, the shit is no good. Don't be honest unless its a good doctor.

Guys, I don't think that he is saying that it isn't effective, but is worried that it's harmful to the body.
I don't know a WHOLE lot about accutane other than it's make up and purpose, but I can tell you that you should have told her you wanted to speak to the physician instead of her after her little speach. I'll be damned if I would have a nurse practitioner tell me about steroids. I am not saying they are stupid because I know of 2 personally that I feel are very smart and handle things well, but in this case, it's a toss up of what she should be doing and giveing advice about....especially when the issue was your acne and you have been off gear for 5 months.
Dunno what else to tell you. My wife is in a tough situation right now too. She is seeing an Endocrinologist and she too is a major bitch. Now, my wife is very intellegent and it an ER physician and this bitch still talks down to her. The bad side is that she has an insulin pump and this Doc is one of the only people in the area to be thoroughly educated on pumps. The rest are just old men that are old school and don't really know much about them.

Nothing compares to accutane if your acne is bad. It works when nothing else will. It doesn't work for everyone, but it does for the vast majority. The side effects of accutane are exagerated. If your only complaints are dry skin and chapped lips, put some lotion on your skin and some Aquaphor on your lips and get back to work.
The people with really bad acne thank science everyday for accutane. If yours isn't bad - don't use it. If it is really bad - use it.

In short...Yes accutane works, and works well. However the process was almost unbearable for me. I was being vain, I only had minor acne from aas, and thought accutane would be a wonder drug. My acne got 1000 % worse before it got better. I had marble like cycts comming out all over my body, and erupting leaving gapeing holes. Those wholes are now scars, and look worse then the acne did. But I do not get acne at all anymore from aas.
Imo, try alternative methods of treating your acne before going the route of accutane. Ya, it worked for me, in a way, but I have a lot of scars now that I would not of ever had. My back and shoulders are very blotchy. I think the judges look past me for it sometimes.
Make ur own decissions, but I hope my info helps.

And besides I already have very dry skin, only spots of acne are on chest, probably from shaving. The dumb bitch was about to put me on the strongest shit out there and I only have it in one spot. Granted some of the acne on my chest hurts and can be very red large boil looking things but not even really that bad. Its actually been going away since I've been using an electric razor instead of mac 3. Then the stupid bitch tries to sell me into lazer hair removal.
