Aight fellas a buddy of mine has never used any gear before and he's about to start a deca only cycle. says he's going to run it at 200mg per week but didnt say how long. he also says that he doesnt want to get huge, but instead just ripped. personally, i have never heard anyone suggest a deca only cycle that knew anything about steroids but I can't find any info as to why he shouldn't do this deca only cycle. any help guys is definately appreciated.

Well deca only cycles work well but gyno is a consideration. Also 200mg a week isn't really enough to do anything but lub the joints a little. Tell him he need to do a least 12 weeks and no less then 400mg a week (unless he gets some test). He had better have some proviron in case he gets deca dick.Originally posted by rippedsucka

You have never heard anyone suggest it because like a dbol only cycle it works but there are better options for the same price and usually just as easy to get.

Your "buddy" is going to run deca at 200 mg's a week on it's own? Gee sounds like he's done alot of research!

Deca only cycles do work as Skyefire said but he may not like the sides. It will bloat him more than test will. His labido may nose-dive (deca dick). Deca is a progestin and does aromatize somewhat so gyno is a real possibility if he is sensitive in the least. Plus, it won't kick in for 4 to 5 weeks minimum so he won't be seeing "results" for a long time and may get discouraged and quit. He should run at least a maintenence dose of test (100 to 150 mg ew) along with it to keep deca dick at bay. Alternatively, proviron at 50 mg ed will work too. Then his deca dose can be cut to maybe 300 mg ew which will lower his gyno risk too.Originally posted by Skyefire

I know someone who is doing a similar cycle. He took 300 mg nandrolone enanthate (quicker acting deca) along with 100 mg mesterolone enanthate (injectable proviron). He saw only mild results for the first 5 weeks; about 4 lbs gained and 1 or two extra reps on major exercises. Then, on week 6, it hit the afterburners. He doubled his reps on the bench from week 5 and gained another 6 lbs from week 5. He is just beginning week 7 right now and, as of last week, is up 10 lbs in weight; down 1.5% in BF; and is up 10 reps on the bench, 20 lbs on squats, and 10 lbs on curls. In another 5 weeks, we'll see what the final results are but I think this is turning out to be an effective cycle for him.
