  • Injection problem...

So this morning i was doing 1/2 ml of QV test prop, and 1/2 ml BD eq in my tricep and after i took the needle out a good amount of blood came out, this does not bother me but what does is that there was alot of this bright yellow liquid coming out as well. i wonder if this was just some of the gear coming out but i dont think it would be that color. Any thoughts ?

I was thinking bein as i mixed 2 diff brands and types of gear that it could have changed colors, but it was just odd seeing a really bright yellow color come out.

Have you injected there before (recently)? Did you aspirate before shooting? Was it clear (translucent) or opaque (cloudy)?

There is no chemical reason I can think of that would make the gear change colors when mixed with other gear and if it was just mixing with "body fluids" as someone suggested, I would think it would have been tinged pink or red.

I wonder if you could be developing an abcess. Is the spot red and or feverish? swollen? Compare your two triceps to see.

I did everything by the book, no blood or anything came into the pin, just air. I use my triceps a bit more than i should though. but i have had no redness or anything to make me think there would be an infection or anything. Im going to start taking some penicilin tonight. anyone have some other sugestions?

                abscess

I believe you have the makings of an abscess..... I would monitor the site for awhile and stop using that site to inject...... If the site become inflamed, hot to the touch, swollen see a doctor... you can self treat if you can get your hands on some antibiotics....you will also need to aspirate the site... stick yourself in the area, draw back and remove the puss (usually redish brown or yellow). then twist off the syringe, leaving the needle still in you. Empty out the retained fluid. Repeat the process until all the fluid is all removed. You may have to repeat this process several more times until the antibiotics kicks in an resolve the infection. one of my doctor friends told this to me an I have had to do it twice in the last 20 or so years.... It works and you will not have to deal with the embarrassing questions from you treating doctor....
