the old pro's with exceptions here and there are still living and doing well, just goes to show u More is not always better...
they did not use the types of drugs that are being used today --that should tell us something-

remember -- use and abuse are different animals -- anything abused will bite you in tha ass sooner or later - and to be at the level these guys are trying to stay something is going to give - the body can only take so much for so long

At the end of the last school year, a good buddy of mine told about the visit to his school by Flex Wheeler, Flex came there to talk to them about the abuse of steriods and after his speech the only questions that he got from the high school kids where about his cars and the type of rims he had on them. My buddy also said that of course Flex was not huge like he was during his bodybuilding days, but he was a decent size and if you saw him walking down the street you think hey this dude has some good size and is pretty fit.

I am not big at all but trying to put on some weight. But I think a lot of guys have a mental struggle about being on AAS. I have a buddy who is off now and in reality he looks very goodl, nice size and people woman and men when they see him they wow you must really workout and eat right. But if someone who has seen him when on a cycle says hey you have lost a little wieght he just freaks out. They are not saying he look tiny, but smaller. I have told him he needs to realize this. NO ONE would ever think he is small but very fit nice size arms an legs. But in his mind he thinks he small and puny. I wish I was his size he is now but not him.

thats how i aim right now like your friend. Im off cycle right now and in good shape from what people tell me. When im on I feel great, ive gotten to 230 on cycle. Compared to others around me, i make them look like children.

But now that im off, im between 215 and 210 at times, and when people tell me ive gotten smaller, i just completly hate it and wish i was on again. If i could i would stay on year round but i actually think about my heath and future. For these boards Ive decided to stay off for a while, from the threads and posts u all make about bbers dying and the side effects for being on for long periods.

I think to myself at times, I can get bigger by just eating more and training harder. With gear Ive gone up to 230's, but then dropped to 205-210, but Ive gotten back to 225 with proper diet and training. At times we just want it fast but we gotta slow down a bit.

Its been a great experience when Ive done cycles, I feel like a superman, like as if im on top of the world. You got people looking at you like "whoa", not to mention the little kids when they tell you "your bigger and stronger than my dad", lol . Ive had planned another cycle which was gonna be a long one 24 weeks or so, but I think about it twice not really sure but I'll see how it goes.

Flex and Don had to have kidney replacments, and others are on various different meds for the rest of there life.

All of these guys that I grew up looking up too are all being forced to leave the sport. The sport of bodybuilding that we love so much is slowly killing us. I believe this is due to changes in the sport that started in the late 80's threw the 90's and is now worse then ever in 2005. Its my oppinion bodybuilding hit an all time high in the period from around 1995-1999. Meaning the mix of mass and shape was perfect in my eyes. Take a look at some of the shows from the late 90's and the guys looked great. Fast forward to 2005 and take a look at the NY Pro that just happened last week. I felt like taking a shit when I looked at some of the guys on stage. Nothing but lumps and under developed muscle. No symetry at all and no future.

Chemicals like, Insulin, IGF-1, Diuretics, 17aa's, huge amounts of HGH and several other drugs are killing the sport.

What the fuck happened to a simple Test cycle and maybe and oral to kick off the cycle. I take one look around the boards including this one and I see people that look like nothing taking all these various drugs and have nothing to show for it. What these people dont understand is that there slowly killing themselves.

Lets get back to bodybuilding and good old fashion muscle and lets stop this very ugly trend that has started to take over the world of bodybuilding.

            My rant is over.
Agreed; Lee Haney, Shaun Ray, Lee Labrada all great muscularity, shape, symetry then Dorian came out of the shadows and now Ron Coleman, atheletes are persuing size and sacrificing shape, muscularity, symetry etc

Moreover, they don't even look healthy and I certainly don't want to look like Ron Coleman.

dont get me wrong brother, i am a freak kinda guy. Dorian, Ronnie, Paul Dillet, Nasser, these are guys that I have trained to look like since I started lifting. I mean you have to admit it, flex wheeler had more shape, muscularity, and symerty then shawn ray or lee labrada ever had. my point was the extreme drugs that is being taken today is killing the sport and the athletes.

What happened with Levrone then, I only heard that he tore a tricep, there certainly seems to be more cases of organ failure/problems. Don Youngblood looks awsome on that Avatar

I know a couple of the guys you originally mentioned please don't forget
the recreational drugs and pain meds they take too. The shit does a toll on all aspects of the body including the mind. I believe people get to a point where they think they are invincible but we know other wise.
