  • Different proteins make a diff with gear?

Just curious if anyone has seen a noticeable difference between brands or types of protein?

Since most anabolics increase protein synthesis, I would think one would notice between a poor protein powder and one that was real, quality and easily assimilated...
I get a lot of protein in my diet, but 2-3 glasses of protein a day helps to hit that 200 grams a day. I have never seen anyone discuss the differences in protein.

Are some of them a scam and do nothing, made of garbage?

I would gladly spend $50 A jug for a protein that would make a difference other than the $19 Costco brand that I currently have.. I am already spending a lot of money on my "vitamins" so whats a few more to feed the growth..

    Is there a difference?

What have you tried that was a noticeable difference?

the 50 dollar jug at GNC is no better then the 19$ costco brand.

There are better quality proteins as in absorbtion but that dosent mean they dont have there place.

Isolates are best taken post workout.

Slower digesting proteins are best taken before bed and so on.

My advice, stick with a good quility protein powder but the main focus should be protein from you whole foos diet.

i'll tell ya this dude. my fav brand of protein would be the pro blend 55 chocolate fudge. its cheap and has 55 grams of protein a serving, and it taste really good, just like chocolate milk. don't waste your money on anything like nitrotech it's a load of crap and too expensive.

i just told you the answer. what do you want to hear? that the 70$ protein at GNC is the best? go ahead knock yourself out and waste your money.

90% of your protein should be from whole foods.

as far as protein powder, this is what I use. http://powernutrition.net/product_in...products_id=46

Really dude and the cheaper protein always has more grams. All the muscle tech and other high dollar protein taste like shit and don't have near the grams.

Pro Rated for me...tastes great and is inexpensive. Just read the labels on the back of the jugs and pick one that contains the correct ratio for your needs.

On any cycle, your butcher should be your best friend. Lots of lean beef like eye of round, chicken breasts, and pork loin are what you need to grow. Whey isolate first thing in the morning and right after workouts, blended protien (shakes or bars) in between meals for the rest of the day when eating meat isn't possible.
