Had a look on another board and found this.....some people have no fucking idea!!!!! Enjoy the ignorance.......
To Whom It May Concern
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After reading the posts in this forum, i felt it necessary to voice my opinion on the issues that they addressed regarding steroids.
I've been training seriously and NATURALLY for about a year now, and have made some personally satisfying results. I occasionally feel stressed about my progress, but am fully aware that it takes time. I have patience. I am willing to train hard 5 days a week, and get my diet up to scratch (which is my current let down) because i know that eventually with persistence and consistency my efforts will pay off.
I really enjoy bodybuilding, and would have loved to have entered a few contests. This was until my frustration and anger towards 'juiced-up' body builders finally overcame me. They take all the prize money away from natural competitions, to feed their steroid habits. They make it difficult for natural competitors who actually respect their body and the way it functions and have total respect for the sport itself.
Not only are these steroid abusers harming themselves, but they are harming the reputation of bodybuilding. The reason bodybuilding doesn't get the respect it deserves is because people associate it with steroids. The reason it won't be considered an Olympic sport, is because of steroids. These body builders are comprimising the respect and reputation of others. They are selfish, and shouldn't be called a bodybuilder.
Some of you which this letter applies, may take offence at this. Good. You may train hard, have a perfect diet and use the excuse that 'steroids don't automatically give you muscles' or if 'steroids were some magic drug, every body who took them would look like Ronnie Coleman'. You see these excuses are by no stretch valid at all. As you are probably aware, steroids hasten the recuperation and growth of muscle damage caused by lifting weights. You still have to train for the drugs to work, as many of you would contest. I'm not doubting your dedication or willingness to train hard every day of the week. What i am doubting, and pointing out in this letter however, is the desire for quick results and the lack of patience. For these two reasons you should not be called bodybuilders.
The natural athletes are TRUE bodybuilders, who struggle and struggle for many years, to get their training and nutrition right, having to compete with the likes of many people on this forum. It is for this reason that i respect, appreciate and am inspired by them, and vow to remain natural until the day i die.
The body building lifestyle shouldn't involve steroids, or harming the body, it's about staying healthy, and respecting the body and the hard work put into it, which steroid uses can't boast. Regardless of the fact that these drugs are harmful to the body, they are also ILLEGAL for non-medical purposes in this country. For this reason alone, you 'bodybuilders' have no justification.
ALL OF THE STEROID USERS ON THIS FORUM should be ashamed of themselves, and all of those thinking of taking steroids should set aside their immaturity, lack of patience, insecurities and stupidity, and work towards a healthier, more respected and NATURAL goal of making bodybuilding a respected Olympic sport. I may not be huge yet or be cut to the bone, but i am a better bodybuilder than any 'juiced up' one on this forum or elsewhere simply for the fact that i don't train entirely for vanity, i respect my body and am willing to do what it takes to remain a HEALTHY, LEGAL and NATURAL bodybuilder.
There is no justification for those who take steroids and make it difficult for natural bodybuilders to compete successfully. Any body on this forum who thinks they have made the right decision taking steroids, i'd be interested to hear the illogical, ridiculous and stupid bullshit reasoning you try to provide, as this will further make up my mind that all steroid users are IMPATIENT, DISRESPECTFUL, MISINFORMED and SELFISH people.
