  • Antihistamines with Clen

I have read that antihistamines may be used to prevent your body from adapting to clen. I believe the mechanism was that the antihistamines have a secondary effect of upregulating the beta 2 receptors.

How much benadryl would I have to take to achieve this affect and how would it be dosed. Are there any side effects of taking an antihistamine for an extended period of time (~7 weeks)?

I know one side effect is it's ability to act as a mild sedative/sleep aid. I don't know how bad it is for an extended period of time, but take that for what it's worth.

If they are only taken at night this wouldnt be a problem.

Rado: it would be done so that you do not need to cycle off of clen every two weeks. Typically people use ketofen to do it, my question is if benadryl would also work.

lol, you two went from talking about ketofen to ketosis. Might be best to read the whole thread and not just the last post. :)

No ud2 yet. My cutting is going very well without. still have 7.5 weeks to go.

I have a question, why is it assumed that if the side affects diminish with a continual use of clen that the fat burning qualities do as well? This could be obviouse but I don't see it.

clen sides are tied to its fat loss properties. Its binding to the beta2 receptors yeilds both the sides and the benefits. Thats why you pyramid up the dosage, as the sides become less apparent.

Not worth the trouble. If you get ketofen which is a much more effective at up regulating the receptors then go for it.
I tried multiple different dosing schemes with benadryl, and none seemed to have any effect. It seems it is just best to take 2 weeks off and run it for two weeks. I think it did more harm than good running the clen for longer with shorter breaks but using benadryl to upregulate the receptors.

In short: take the breaks unless you are using ketofen.

every third week use a tablespoon of benedryl a night for that week. seems to do the job.

I didnt have the same experience. I would do 2 weeks on. And take 1 week off, but for that week off i would take 3 benadryl caps. When i would start again the next week, I would not be completely responsive to it again. I would have to up the dosages much quicker than i normally would if i had taken the 2 weeks off. This leads me to believe that benadryl is not as effective as some recommend at correcting the receptors.
