  • Chest pain on Clen

On my fifth day into a clen cycle I had a strange experience...a sudden sensation that my throat was closing followed by a feeling of anxiety and slight chest pains. It was in the evening and I was only up to about 60 mcg/day (I am a female getting ready for a fitness competition in 5 weeks). I had drank a bit of coffee throughout the day, so I figured that it was the caffeine and so haven't had any caffeine or pains since. Until yesterday (now 10 days into my cycle and at 80 mcg/day), when just after taking it I again felt chest pains and a feeling of anxiety. The chest pains persisted and I can still slightly feel it today. It is only mild...feels like sharp pain that doesn't change when I breath in or out, but becomes more or less painful at random.

Is this a normal side? Or is it all in my head? I haven't taken any today, and was going to take some weeks off. I have taken clen 3 times before and had no problems with going up to 80 mcg/day. So I'm not really sure what is going on. Any ideas?

Sounds like you had an anxiety attack. I am sure you figured this, but I thought I could confirm it for you. Chest pain related to cardiac problems, AKA, angina, doesn't just come and go randomly in a short period of time. Also, it is generally described as a "heavy" or "tightness" in the chest.

Don't be fooled though. A combo of clen, caffeine and an anxiety attack could end up giving you a heart attack, espcially if you are over the age of 30.

Ditch the caffeine as long as you are on the clen. If it persists, stop it immediately.

I would buy a blood pressure cuff and keep track of this yourself. also if you haven't had your bloodwork done recently or maybe an ECG (or whichever one they do for the heart) I might just to be safe. There is no playtime when it comes to your health. Keep your water intake high as well.

That's right, electrocardiogram - ECG is the same thing as EKG. EKG is the german abbreviation for elektrokardiogramm

If I get an EKG an/or bloodwork done, do I have to tell the docs that I took clen? Or should I wait two weeks until its out of my system?

As long as its' out of your system, it should be ok. There is a slight chance of clen causing an arythmia at high doses, and that very well could have caused the panic attack or a panic "like" attack.

I would not keep you from getting an ECG, but I can tell you now, if you go in there with no symptoms and never having a heart attack big enough to show damage, it wont reveal anything. You need to be there when you actually have the pain to see what's going on. Either that, or there has to be enough dead tissue to show on the ECG, which is a result of an MI (heart attack)

Oh, I am only 23 by the way, so I guess I might not really be too high risk for a heart attack. I just read about panic attacks, and I think that is what I had. Because all of the symptoms I had are symptoms of a panic attack http://my.webmd.com/content/article/8/1680_54404.htm
and two of the causes of panic attacks are too much caffeine, and medications to treat asthma. Clen is/was used to treat asthma, correct? I will stay off clen for a couple weeks and get my blood pressure measured for now. I'll see what I can do as far as getting my heart checked out, though I don't have chest pains at this moment.

One more question...since I am getting ready for a show, I do need to take some sort of a fat burner. Usually I take ephedrine and caffeine when I'm not on clen, but it has similar effects doesn't it? Should I just go ahead with that, or take a week off, or take something else?

Yes, clen is basicly the same as albuterol, only with a longer half life. They are both used for asthma.

Caffiene and ephedrine don't have near the effect that clen has, but you should, no doubt, use with caution.

Honestly, between T3, tren, test and var/winny, I see no reason why you should have a problem cutting for a show without clen.
