  • Starting Back Up!

    Hey fellas,

I wasn't sure which forum to put this in......I stopped lifting for about 2.5 months and i'm getting ready to juice up for the summer. It's been about 10 months to a year since i ran anything. My question is...should i lift for a few weeks to get the soreness out then start my cycle or start the cycle immediately with my workouts.

    My cycle: 500 test/week, fina 75 eod

You should lift an eat right at least for a couple months first.

I would suggest at least 3 months of balanced workouts (Cardio and Resistance) and diet. Make sure you are in a good rhythm so when you start you can really push the pace. I lost 2 months after my mother's death and did just what I suggested and my last cycle has been my best.

you should make pretty nice gains just by training and having a sensible diet since it has been some time since you have been in the gym. you don't need gear to get in shape for the summer just a sensible diet.

well if i start lifting again it's not like i'll be breaking down more muscle than i would if i'd been training right?

in other words, i don't break down any more muscle just starting to lift as opposed to training for a year straight. i didn't want to start my cycle this soon and waste any test because i'm so sore that it takes a long time for me to recover. would it help with recovery?

You'll waste the test because you will plateau sooner. Take the time to get back what you can naturally through muslce memory, then give yourself the boost.
