can you give more detail? there not fast at any rate but there are some tips and tricks to use.

    1. warm your gear first. don't make it really hot but 150 degrees is fine

    2. don't use too large of a syringe. I never use anything bigger then 10ml and 5ml for most things. the larger the syringe the less pressure in PSI

    3. don't force the gear through, it will not go that much faster and you will waste a lot of energy.

    4. always use a quality filter with a self contained prefilter. If your filter doesn't have a prefitler built in then prefilter it yourself.

    5. make sure that you have a good setup before you start, venting needle, alcohol pads, vials and rags and such all linded up before you start. tv or the radio will help pass the time too.

      Sky,

Isn't there a device that makes a vacum in a vial to pull chemicals through the filter, not push it through? I would like to get one of these; that way I can just load the syringe and let it filter at its own place.

I think that I have heard its expensive, but I would still like to know, it may be worth it!

i used a whatman .45, a 20cc syringe, 23g needle to run the gear in the vial, a 25 gauge vent, i got through 50ml of eq which took 30 minutes, then i had to rest for the sake of my arm. Then 20ml of test e. i didnt want to push too hard i thought i was going to break the filter. So whats a prefilter ? and this vaccum device puma was talking about ?

thats about right except I would not use anything larger then a 10cc syringe. be sure and heat the gear up some before filtering.

what is the point of heating it up before filtering it ? does it just make it easier to filter ?

Much, much easier to filter, it makes the solution thin, and thinner is easier to filter.
