  • Question for Buyb12, but anyone can help

    hey fellas,

I bought finasteride from lion about a month ago, right before they discontinued it, and I think the batch I got may have been a bit old. It has chunks of something...maybe the drug itself, on the bottom of the bottle, and when I shake it, it doesn't reconstitute. It seems like this is due to the fact that it is an oil based solution. I am concerned that the solid that won't dissolve is the finasteride and that I am not getting the right dosage. It is pretty substantial. Also, has anyone tried this stuff, and does it seem to have almost no flavor? Any opinions are welcome, especially buyb12. Is it an oil btw?
    Thanks

Have you tried putting the whole thing in a cup of hot water to try and heat it a little to see if that gets the chunks to break up and disolve?

No, but I will now. Thanks for the idea. Anyone else got anything? And is this an oil solution? Why does it have no flavor almost? How long is it good for?

My suggesttion: Shake very hard! I have ordered finasteride from Lion in the past as well and from what i remember it is quite thicker than other compounds, largely in part to the compound itself, despite it being constituted in water. Also, considering it is over a month old, you really need to shake the crap out of it. Good advice from shibby too. Maybe even shoot a PM over to lion and see if he cn help, too.

why did they stop carrying finasteride, despite the fact they picked up dutasteride?

My guess is because Dutasteride is a newer science. I've read a few article on it and remeber reading something to the effect that duta has the ability to block two different forms of DHT, whereas finasteride only blocks one form. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

ur right, but the higher levels of dht suppresion with dutaseride can lead to problems, especially if taken while natty. I was wonering why they didnt cntinue the sale of finasteride as well as adding dutasteride

it was economic. I originaly designed the finasturide for myself ( most of our product line started that way in the old days ) Hence the finasturide /letro combo. Neather of these products sold well. I desided I wanted to switch to dutasturide. If I don't like it I may bring back the finasturide. You never know. I have 12 new supps comming out. Some really cool stuff.
