isn't steriod (hormones) test done through blood work?

They can be done through urine tests, I know that for a fact, but not positive about hair. I do know that synthetic hormones can have an effect on DHT, which can be tested through hair, but don't quote me on this. Just some scattered knowledge that I have and pieced together.

The reason that they test hair is because urine is actually partially precipitated through the hair as well as the usual means of elimination. It acts like a timeline for substance use, kind of like how arctic/antarctic ice core samples can tell about earth's weather patterns over thousands of years. I'm not certain but I think that the longer the hair, the more information can be stored and analyzed with regard to substance abuse, since there is a longer record available. If you've ever seen an elderly lady with "blue hair" it is because her hair dye has had a chemical reaction with the latent urine content in her hair.

But don't they give you a health screening? Bloods liver function, they are insuring you too. I work w/chem so im worried about what shows up on what test. cause they give yearly screenings to to bloods, urine hearing respitory function V02 (for respirators) Anybody got any info on that
