I have always heard that prop causes you to hold less water than say test e. Can anyone give me a reason for this or a study that proves this. I have made a suggestion to take prop with a cutting cycle rather than test e and a guy is beating me up about it.

Test prop and less water?

no known reason. however as almost every finds the same thing it is impossible to dismiss. it has been said that the ED or EOD injects of prop produce a more even test level and this less sides without the higher spiking levels of once or twice a week injects. this doesn't hold however as that would make sust the worst of the buch for bloating and that is not reported true. the only thing left is that there is something about the ester or maybe even the proponic acid itself that causes the body to hold less water. However holding water is not really an issue durting cutting as it does not affect fat loss at all. and if your running a good cutting diet your not likely to bloat that much anyway.

your right and the problem that poses is that the PP ester and the prop ester are very differnt even if they are kissing cousens. what we are really left with is that they both hydrolise into proponic acids. why that would make a differnce I have no ideaOriginally posted by ControlYou also get less bloat with NPP than deca

Hey Skye - how much propionic acid will hydrolyze into your body from a gram of test prop?Originally posted by Skyefireyour right and the problem that poses is that the PP ester and the prop ester are very differnt even if they are kissing cousens. what we are really left with is that they both hydrolise into proponic acids. why that would make a differnce I have no ideaLast edited by Curls4dGirls; 01-14-06, 04:27 PM.

Here's a thought.Originally posted by SkyefireI am being lazy here and not doing the chemistry but the approximate about is about 175mg of it.
Ibuprofin and Naproxen, as well as some others, are propionic acid non-steriodal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and are derivaties of propionic acid. So, when the propionate ester hydrolyzes from the hormone, essentially an anti-inflammatory is released into the body. People could see a reduction in 'bloat' due to a reduction in inflammation rather than reduction in water retention.
One small glitch ... taking a gram of test prop a week releases about the same amount of propionic acid as is in one (1) naproxen a week. However, maybe injecting the drug preserves some potency that would otherwise be lost in digestion (and considering that NSAIDs can give you ulcers from the propionic acid, this is probably the case). If 50% is lost during digestion, then an amount of propionic acid equal to taking half of a naproxen per day is released into the body.
Thoughts?
