  • Red, Swollen, Puffy for 4 days=Trip to Hospital

So Im on a t-400/deca/dbol stack and I am pre loading with prop 100mg.ml-1cc EOD. End of week #2. 6or 7 shots of prop in already, I decide to try another injection site other than my usual glutes and outer quads. I decide to try my inner quad(teardrop). Use the same procedure as always. Very clean and careful. I dont inject with the same tip i draw with. So imediatley I feel nothing out of the ordinary...a little burnning...not unusual. The next morning(saturday gone by) The pain was intense and I had lost some mobility, swelling had started. So I figured it was just the new site getting used to the prop. I iced it a few times through the day and went to work @ 4pm. By 8pm I had to come home. I dont mind pain usually BUT this really hurt. I couldnt use this muscle to control any part of making a step. Swelling Increased. I started taking ibprophen and Iceing it every 30min. Swelling wasnt going down but it was feeling better. I went to work on sun, I was taking ibprophen the whole time. Swelling not going down. Monday I didnt go into work, My leg started to get red and warm in the morning and the red area grew until it was the size of my whole inner thigh. I went to the hospital and used the "B12" excuse and they gave me Novo-Lexin to take for 10 days.

The prop I used is called ANATEST made by Vetoquinol. I have used other vial of this with no problems and 7cc's from the current vial. I am wondering If the reason I had issues was because It was the first time I injected there and when It started to get sore, i didnt immediatley nurse it back to health....I just tried to ignore it. I let it get to the point where it couldnt heal the proper way so it led to the infection. Any insight?

Today, tuesday, it is still sore, redness is slowley dissipating and I am not sure about the swelling. I am taking the antibiotics but I know it will take a few days to clear up.

Any Ideas how i can help stop this from happening again?

frist make sure that your using proper injection proceedures. secondly if you suspect your gear then I would spend ten bucks and get a new vial and a sterile filter and refilter it yourself. Baking can also help but most absess are not casued by bacteria but reather some kind of particualate matter (dust, small piece of something)

the best way here may be to make your own or buy humen grade gear.

My Injection procedure: Layout all neccessary Items.Wash hands. Alcohol swab The top of vial, Remove syringe from casing, Remove plastic tip protector, Inject as much air into vial as liquid to be drawn out. Draw. Change that tip with a new one. Alcohol swab the site...2wice. Very slowley insert pin. Asperate. Inject slowley(1cc per/min). Remove pin and imediatley tape on a cotton swab . Discard everything needed properley

Is there anything there that could be my issue. If it was the gear, this it the 3rd vial I have used of this brand, wouldnt i have had issues by now?

I was blameing it on the fact that I fought through the pain for too long causing it to get so agrivated that it got infected. Is that possible. If not I will toss the remainder of the prop. No loss(2cc's). and The reason I had vet grade is because that is all my first sourse had. I had an extra prop left. All my gear now is human grade. Hopfully I wont have any further issues.

          Thats what i'll do....tossed

I am still wondering if it is possible to bring an infection on due to ignoring of the pain?(as posted above). Is it possible to make a muscle so sore that it doesnt get chance to heal properley and sparks an infection? any thoughts?

I learned the hard way. Whenever using a somewhat painful oil, injecting close to the knee can exacerbate the swelling and pain. Even though your injection procedure may have been sterile and your gear sterile, the tremendous swelling itself can cause an infection too.

My first cycle ever was IP sust in the lower quad. I called off of work for 3 days because my knee was swollen so bad. Elevation, ice, Ibuprofin seem to be the things that work best for in home care.

Why did you inject in the teardrop? That's almost as bad as injecting in a front delt or forearm....

I never have any problem with lateral delts. I can do 3 cc's no problem. I can do up to 2cc's in bicceps, 3 in triceps. I mostly stick with outer quads, but if I'm injecting every day I'll even hit traps, pecs, and lats once in awhile. Basically everything but glutes and calves, and the only reason I don't do glutes is cuz when I was first starting out I was told that you should use a 1 1/2" pin for glutes and all I had was 1". Plus, I have a hard time twisting around like that (I can barely wipe my own ass :laughnew: )

I use glutes as my main area...i can still reach(barley) I get cramps in my sides from twisting so hard. I prefer them because no matter what i inject there, it doesnt hurt(hardley) and it doesnt hinder following workouts. My quads are a different story. I use them very sparringly. They do hurt and sometimes keep me from training legs for a day or two. I will deffinatley try some of your suggestions though.

                      Thanks

does it make a difference where you inject it? like if u inject in your arms does that make them grow any faster than other bodyparts? and i was jw what is it scientifically speaking that makes the muscle so damn sore? sorry if these are amatuer ?'s
