Getpinz server was in fact, hacked

I just received a phone call from a good bud of mine who in turn called Getpinz and was told that their server was in fact hacked and that the authorities are looking into that. Now since the server was hacked and whoever did it might also have people credit card info, to take whatever precautions they deem necessary to protect themselves. There is nothing illegal they sell on the site so nobody has anything to worry about with that, just if the hackers decided to use people's credit cards, then there would be some concern there. The site should be back up shortly.

check your statement every day...if they used your cc, it would appear on your statement just as if you used it, except you wouldn't recognize the purchase...if you used a bank/ATM/debit card, be extra vigilant, because fraudulent transactions with bank cards fall under a slightly different law than stolen credit cards

Ya, sorry to hear it bro. I would call the credit card company and tell them that your card number may have been on a site that was hacked. You might not need to cancel it. I think they have a way of making it so that the purchases may only be made in the state that you live in. Give them a call.
