sf loves that guy. sucks he hit two hr off my mets, 710 and 711. I'm going to his game at shea in a few weeks im excited to see him in person. not a huge fan of him but roids or not he is the best hitter of our time just look at the stats from early 90's. not to mention his gold gloves. if he was better with the media he would be thought of as highly as jordan.

I just read thid thread fot the first time and I'm not going to get into the whole hall of fame or punishment thing because I really dont feel like its worth it. However, I've been a giants fan since I was a kid and also a fan of bonds for years. I think it makes a big difference in how you look at things. Everybody saying all of these negative things, IMO, didnt like him before all of this. Just imagine if one of your teams biggest and favorite players was taking shit from every direction.

One other thing you need to constantly remember about these books especially but also anything else you hear or read. Everyone does things for a reason. The guys that wrote this book didnt do it to better the world or improve baseball, they did it for the $. So did Canseco and Bonds' ex. If they had so much info about what Bonds was doing, why do they seem to talk about gear like they have no idea. I have never read the book because I refuse to give people like them any of my money but its just something to think about.

I'm one of the few that likes Bonds also. I like how he tells the media to "fuck off".

Bonds also had his reasons, money (his contract year he came in nearly 30lbs heavier) and fame (he wanted to be known as the best player in the baseball) which I don't contend. And also the guys that wrote that book are reporters and it is their job to investigate a story in their community, which Bonds is a major one.

Major League baseball isn't innocent either, they knew what was going on and made alot of money off it so they just turned their heads ignoring the problem.

I would say they didn't only ignore it, but quietly encouraged it.
