  • Stats when you started

OK, maybe a dumb question, maybe should be in discussion but I have a question.

What sort of weight were you lifting when you started your first cycle? As in, what was your squat, bench, etc. Also, do you feel that you were at or very close you your natural limit?

IMHO, another factor to consider before AAS usage is not only physical achievements but also psychological maturity.

Just out of curiousity. What age were you when you first started and what age are you now? Also, have you ever done GH?

I started 14 weeks and...I dunno...20 or so lbs ago...I was 172.0 weighing in at my last show (4%) and I'm 204 or so now (9.5% or so)

it'd be hard to say if I was close to my natural limit, I probably was...at any rate, the way I saw it, I compete in BB, and I wasn't exactly going anywhere in the NPC naturally. Not to ignore proper diet and training and genetics and all that, but I wasn't going to fill out at 5'8 naturally the way I'd need to, in order to compete at the level I wanted to...lemme stop this before it becomes a rant

my first show was 3 years before I used gear, so I knew how to diet to get lean, but oddly enough (or maybe not), I was so tired of dieting that I ate whatever I wanted in the offseason. Eventually I got better and tried to get protein with all my meals, and whey in the morning, but I still followed an eat-when-you're-hungry, eat-what-you-want offseason and a clean cutting diet. Nowadays, I take a much more scientific approach to offseason dieting, with my favourite chicken and brown rice with hot sauce meal every day, lots of oatmeal, ground beef, cottage cheese...good bulking staples

now what do you mean by "psychological maturity?" some people go through their entire LIVES without sufficient psychological maturity for half the things they do...what are you trying to say?

Thanks for the input guys, I was hoping someone knew or had some idea what they were lifting when they started. Its just curiosity more than anything else. Although I am psychologically mature enough, and I feel I will be physically ready in a year or two what other people have done wont influence my judgment as much. Not to be a dick but there are tons of people that say not to run more than 12 weeks on and are at the same time on something for years at a time. I dont want to get into that though. I was just curious, thats all, I'm not going to critique anyone elses choices.

if someone told you to go 12 weeks it was probably cuzz it will be your first cycle! i always say 10-12 week for a first with 12 being better IMO.
