Thanks tstat, thats exactly what happened. My test levels where around 425 and he said you can be as alow asd 200?? Which seems real low , and your also right as soon as I said low tesoterone levels he shot me down , I pretty much had to beg him to do the blood work, He also said if you have low tesosterone it is impossible to have any real muscle? In addition, what is an HRT, also at 22 i dont think they would let me into an anti-aging clinic. I didnt like the way he went about this, so in a couple weeks I scheduled an appointment with another doctor. Sorry to sound like I'm rambling but im in a hurry, He also said 900 is the maximum so why couldnt i try the hormone replacent to see if it bettered my mood?

I say anti aging clinic because they have the best knowledge of repalcing low hormone levels including testoserone.I went and I am only 31. Very few general practioners are going to give you presciption test at levels of 425 and 22yrs old. They will give you some load of crap about test levels fluctuate daily with diet and time of day etc. which is true, but if you feel like crap you know it. 425 is fairly low for 22yrs old, but not horrible. I don't know how active you are, what your diet is like etc. but your natural test levels at that age should be around 600-700. HRT is hormone replacement therapy. look for pharmacy's online that make bio-identical testosterone. call them and ask them if they have a doctor in your area who prescribes this kind of medication. Also have you done any anabolic cycles prior or sythentic test. this would definately have an effect on your test levels if you have in the past.

Finding an anti-aging clinic in your area should typically not be very difficult. They are popping up everywhere. Check your local phone book or the yellowpages online.

Yes, but I dont wanna use the gel i have real sensitive skin so rubbing any type of gel on it would just be asking for trouble.

Been through this whole ballgame. Went in 2+ years ago feeling tired, run down, and kinda like early Alzheimers (no shit). Did some research on the internet (god forbid) and narrowed it down to about 1/dozen possibilities. I,ve also been a paramedic for about 25 years so I was a little ahead of the average patient going to the doctor. Explained the symptoms, asked for a full panel, basically just a shitload of labs. Told him I thought my test levels were low. Results came back damned if I wasn't right. Around 200. Still technically within the range but at the extreme low end. Dr calls me up and says the ranges are to low on the low end and he prefers me to be nearer the high end (god bless this man). Tells me he's gonna prescribe pills. I said no way cause if I'm gonna have an early liver death at least let it be from to much merlot or whiskey. He says how about the gel or a patch. I say negative, how about injections since my wife's a medic too. He says fine. Delatestryl 1000mg multi dose vials. Insurance paid 80% until my unnamed employer switched to Humana who sucks big ones and won't pay for shit. Last bloodwork showed levels around 960 and that was at 200mg/week. Dropped it to 200 per 2 weeks. Felt fantastic since about 3 weeks after I started.
Now the difference here is that I was 47 when I started AND had a cool doc whom I've going to for quite a while. He's also not an old fart and you are more likely to find sympathy with a younger, rather than older Dr.

I should bring all these posts in and tell my doctor how bout this? If i strike out with this last doctor I'll get my own prescription.I appreciate all the info, I just cannot believe how doctors are these days they dont wanna help anybody, just push everybody along and right out the exit door.

I believe the opposite is true - they seem to want to OVER-MEDICATE without finding the root cause of the problems - then they push everyone out the door with a handfull of prescription notes so they don't have to deal with the real issues...

                    Regardless though - best wishes....

If your test levels are rather low and your at least 30, like I said earlier, I'd try an anti-aging clinic

No clue. If you're interested find one and make an appointment or call and talk to them about their services.

RUN don't walk to your Dr. if you believe this too be true. I went to Dr. while in my early 30's and he just asked me if I could get an erection...which i could. That was it. I didn't persist as you know "doctors are God". If he will not test you go to a Urologist. This is really their area of expertise anyway. I am now 57 and get a test shot every 2 weeks from him....Not much just a maintence dose 300mgs. My insurance pays!!. He does lipids ever year to check for problems. P.S. I also supplement myself....Good Luck
