  • cycle ? for those that compete

ok i have a show on june 10, then after that i am planning to do the NABBA nationals on august 19. i was wanting to get some opinions from some competitors on what i'm thinking about doing. i'll have 10 weeks between these 2 shows and i plan to up my carbs back to about 300g a day for the first 4 weeks after the june 10 show keeping cardio but only at 3x a week for 30 minutes. my ? is do you think it would be a good idea to run slin during these first 4 weeks then cut hard for the last 6 leading up to the show? i'm just looking to add a little more size if possible before i do the nationals...
    thanks
    Joe

How much experience do you have with slin?

I'd just hold steady for the first 4 weeks...I've always believed that you gain a bit of muscle after a show once you start eating again...as long as you keep cardioing, you'll stay lean and could come in looking better for your next show

i've actually never ran slin long enough to notice anything. i tried it a couple years ago for about a week and stopped because i was feeling bad from it...

I wouldn't mess with it right now then . It takes awhile to figure out how much yo need and how many carbs you need. The last thing you want is to gain a bunch of fat that you'll have to burn off.

yea thats kinda what i was afraid of, gaining way too much fat in those 4 weeks and not being able to cut it in the last 6... thanks bro, i think i'll wait til fall when the shows are done then run the slin
