Any experience reconstituting lyophilized Long R-3 IGF-1 into a benz. Alch. solution. want to get 1mg igf-1 into a total of 2ml solution??? purchased from cell sciences it is the groprep brand.

bacteriostatic water will not hurt it like you think.. I do believe that either the guys that seel that igf-1 with the BA already in it could have gotten a bad batch and or it was exposed to heat during transport.. Hence the bad rap on the B-water.
for powder method
You'll need:
1 vial of IGF-1 long r3 powder
and a 3 slin pins
1mg is equal to 1000mcgs
add 1 ml of ba to the vial.. The take the other 2 slin pins and draw out 33 iu's into each of the 2 pins.
and now you should have 1 vial and 2 pins containing the same amount of liquid in them which is 333mcgs
Now add 2 1/3 more mls of Bac-water to the vial.
Thusly having 3 mls at 111 per ml
Now you can get to where you want to be .
10 on the slin pin will equal 10.1mcgs
20 on the slin pin will equal 20.2mcgs
30 on the slin pin will equal 30.3mcgs
40 on the slin pin will equal 40.4mcgs
and so on
Put the other 2 pins in the freezer until needed

if you have 1ml originally, you can add one more ml and you have 500mcg/ml. whatever you plan on taking 20mcg would be 2 tic, 40 is 4 tics, 50 would be 5 tics or the 10 iu mark.
the method i have been using is:
pull 40mcgs igf.
fill to 50 iu mark with bw
shoot.
its painless. ive chosen this way because its just too risky for me to add bw directly to the igf. ive read of plenty of people ruining their batch.Last edited by FTC; 09-25-03, 11:05 AM.
