Zoloft isn't normally prescribed for anxiety - but regardless it's not generally a good idea.....

Just social anxiety, have had it for along time and decided to take the docs advice and give it a try. have been taking it for a few days and actually it makes me feel really good. Was wondering if there is a chance it could cause me any problems and if so what?

It shouldnt really cause any problems...its an ssri, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, they are generally well tolerated without any extraordinary side effects.

as al the chemist said, it is an anti-depressant. any sides you would have would be those associated with all SSRI's.

id have to dissagree.....it is very often prescribed for anxiety.most doc like to try to keep people away from benzos.

ya, my doc wanted to put me on zoloft for anxiety also. its and SSRI but it has also been approved by the FDA for anxiety. those meds just arent for me though.

Same here. It was the first med I was prescribed after I got out of the service and I started having severe anxiety attacks. They help you get through some tough times, but it's nice to look back and say those fkn things are not for me and I will do everyting w/in my God given power to not have to go that route again.

The only added stress would be on your liver. How much, i'm guessing not that much, besides that you should be fine

No, I have always had it.
