    good for erections too...

Melanotan II, a non-selective melanocortin receptor agonist, in human subjects with erectile dysfunction (ED). Melanotan II was administered to 20 men with psychogenic and organic ED using a double-blind placebo-controlled crossover design. Penile rigidity was monitored for 6 h using RigiScan. Level of sexual desire and side effects were reported with a questionnaire. In the absence of sexual stimulation, Melanotan II led to penile erection in 17 of 20 men. Subjects experienced a mean of 41 min Rigiscan tip rigidity>80%. Increased sexual desire was reported after 13/19 (68%) doses of Melanotan II vs 4/21 (19%) of placebo (P<0.01). Nausea and yawning were frequently reported side effects due to Melanotan II; at a dose of 0.025 mg/kg, 12.9% of subjects had severe nausea. We conclude that Melanotan II is a potent initiator of penile erection in men with erectile dysfunction. Our findings warrant further investigation of melanocortin agonists and antagonists on penile erection. International Journal of Impotence Research (2000) 12, Suppl 4, S74-S79.

FDA Alerts Consumers to Unsafe, Misrepresented Drugs Purchased Over the Internet

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has become aware that a number of Americans who placed orders for specific drug products over the Internet (Ambien, Xanax, Lexapro, and Ativan), instead received a product that, according to preliminary analysis, contains haloperidol, a powerful anti-psychotic drug.
Reports show several consumers in the United States have sought emergency medical treatment for symptoms such as difficulty in breathing, muscle spasms and muscle stiffness after ingesting the suspect product. Haloperidol can cause muscle stiffness and spasms, agitation, and sedation.
Therefore, the agency is reissuing its warning to consumers about the possible dangers of buying prescription drugs online. FDA urges consumers to review the FDA Web site for information before buying medication over the Internet.
FDA laboratory analysis of the misrepresented tablets is ongoing, but preliminary analysis indicates they contain haloperidol, the active ingredient in a prescription drug used primarily to treat schizophrenia. FDA learned about these mislabeled and potentially dangerous products after their recipients complained to a U.S. pharmaceutical manufacturer.
The origin of these tablets is unknown but the packages were postmarked in Greece. Photographs of the tablets in question and the shipping packages can be seen at http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/news/p...loperidol.html. If the tablets received from an Internet seller resemble those in the photos and haloperidol was not specifically ordered, do not take these tablets. Instead, consumers should notify their health care provider and report the suspected products to FDA by submitting a product quality problem report at https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scrip...tch-online.htm.
Although the involved consumers have named several Internet Web sites where the products were purchased, identifying the vendors is difficult because of the deceptive practices of many commercial outlets on the Internet. FDA is investigating this illicit trade and plans to release appropriate information when it is available.
Taking medication that contains an active ingredient other than what was prescribed by a qualified health care professional is generally unsafe. FDA continuously warns U.S. consumers of the possible dangers of buying prescription drugs online and urges them to review the FDA Web site for additional information prior to making purchases of medication over the Internet (http://www.fda.gov/buyonline/).

also be aware of hyperpigmentation which will appear first in the facial areas, which will also show your lines and wrinkles more clearly. a fun little side-effect not often mentioned.

I've also shied away from this the more I learn about it - it seems that whatever freckles you already have get really really dark and won't go back to the original color even after you've quit taking the stuff - to think I was THIS close to using it for my contest prep this time around - whew...

Can anyone give their personal experiences on using melatonan. I've been looking into it and am very interested in tryng it out. If i understand right though it is unable to differentiate between pigmented and nonpigments skin cells? I don't have too many freckles at all, i don't think i'd mind if they got darker due to the melanotan. One thing that i don't understand is why the freckles wouldn't return back to a lighter color after the melanocytes lose stimulation. It doesn't quite add up.. Anyway, i'm eager to try it out. Any experienced input would be great, sorry to hijack :)
