Dutastride is a fairly new compound which has proved very effective in treating genetic male pattern hair loss on the vertex (top of the head) and the mid-scalp area.

Dutastride was developed for treating symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. Dutastride is chemically similar to Finasteride, the active compound in Propecia, but has proven more effective in clinical trials. Like Propecia, Dutastride has proved to be effective in treating male pattern hair loss as well as BPH.

Researchers have discovered that men who suffer from either male pattern hair loss or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), have increased levels of the hormone dehydrotestosterone (DHT).

DHT is produced from testosterone by an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase. Biochemical analysis reveals higher levels of 5-alpha-reductase in the bloodstream of men with BPH, and in the scalps of men with hair loss; and less of this enzyme in men with no BPH or no hair loss.

Dutastride inhibits 5-alpha-reductase, blocking the formation of DHT. This interrupts a key trigger element in development of male pattern hair loss and in development of BPH.

It does, but yj has probably the most experience with hairloss ancillaries than anyone on the board. From reading his journal, I can't say he's had much luck in finding something that works.

1mg ed would be more than enough, make sure you are on some kind of test, otherwise you'll never get an erection. Also have an AI on hand in case u start getting gyno.

1 mg seems like a lot. There is no way that this shit can be worth it, in my opinion. Finasteride is so much cheaper.

.5mg(as soon as it reaches appropiate lvls in the body) will take out about 95% of the dht in your scalp, so 1mg will pretty much eliminate it, you can do .5mg ed if you want. Finasteride will always be good for some, I think theres different lvls of people with MPB and how sensitive they are to androgens, so it will vary for everyone.

In clinical trials, chronic dutasteride thereapy reduces serum DHT by 93 to 94% while finasteride reduces serum DHT by approximately 70%. Reductions in intraprostatic DHT concentrations have not been directly compared between the two drugs. most trials assessing intraprostatic DHT reductions utilized doses higher than those used for the treatment of BPH.
