  • Hrt for older men

I spoke to my Dad on the phone the other night, he is 68 and is very fit and active for his age, he told me the doc has had him on 1ml of Sust every three weeks for the last couple of years, I find it hard to believe he could be getting any benifit from that amount after two years, i was thinking 1ml a week would be better, keeping in mind he doesnt train so its hard to monitor what its actually doing for him apart from what he tells me cause i dont see him too often, What would you guys suggest?

American docs prescribe 200mg test cyp a month for HRT.What you dads using is normal for HRT.Why would you want him to use more? Its HRT Hormone REPLACEMENT theropy, not a cycle. Its giving him what his body isnt making, not jacking him up.

Well i dont know if 1ml a week is "jacking him up", Why would i want him to use more, well he had been complaining about joint pain in his shoulders and mentioned he was seeing a doc who was going to be injecting something that he didnt know what directly into his shoulder joint. A little extra might be usefull right now.

sust every 3 weeks is a complete joke hes test levels are all over the place. he needs test E or C not sust. and it should be takin more like every 7-10 days!

50mg-75mg of cyp per week seems like a better HRT dose to me.

hrt goals, is too replace testosterone that is lost due too aging

a 30 year old male produces on average about 70 mg of test per week

so 1 ml of sust every three weeks, would mean after taking out the esters he's right about on spot, fwiw, there's probably 210 mg or so of test in the shot after taking out esters

now, he's under a doctors supervision, he is getting real pharmaceutical testosterone, and the doc probably does regular testing every 3-6 months

if he feels good imho no problems

I agree if it makes him feel better, which I guarantee it will I see no problems.

My bro gets the watson cyp. Also when the feds were saying chris Benoits doc was prescribing him 10months worth per month,he was really prescribing 10ml vial a month

ya, i would go with what the doc says. i am sure he is doing testing to see what the levels are.

I'm sure the doc has your father's best interest at hand and he is doing what he thinks is best, but IMO I do believe 100-200 mg of a single ester (cyp e or test e) per week would be better, but who am I to go against and HRT doc that doest this for a living. If it's joint pain and such it may be arthritis setting in or something along those lines. How active is he and has he changed any type of workout regimen since the joint pain has begun?
