Why is that when people (guys that dont really know how to diet, at the gym) take some steroids they lose a lot of bodyfat, while gaining muscle? I know that cardio is very important, and diet but why does this happen with some people that dont do either and still get good results? Just noticed that today at the gym, weird :)

guys if it were genetics they would be skinny before the gear was in them. steroids do raise metabolism. people get confused about his issue. losing weight comes down to calories in/calories burned. muscle is active tissue as well. it burns calories to stay alive. steroids put on muscle.... so we can all see that more muscle equals a higher basal metabolic rate. also you have to remember if a muscle gets bigger and the person doesn't lose any bodyfat then they will still be leaner looking and their actual bodyfat % will go down even though they did not lose any actual fat weight.
