High Potassium levels

Just had a physical and reported healthy as a horse until my bloodwork came back. My potassium level was "through the roof" as the lab doc stated on a 10:00 pm phone call. I have a follow up in 3 weeks but in the interim wanted to see if any of you are aware of if any of the following "supplements" I was on when I had the blood work and some prior to.

Clenbuterol
T3

1 week prior to bloodwork I had just completed PCT.
Clomid
Nolvadex

Taking a male supplement for sexual improvement called Manster and some Maca as well

Thanks in advance for your assistance. My limited research has shown that there are some serious heart and kidney complications that can be associated with high potassium levels.

There are other here better versed in blood work then I am.

I am not sure if the clen, T3, clomid, or Nolv had an effect or not. I will say that you should have blood work done when you are NOT running those things. That is a lot of different chemicals that can interfere with the results.

For a doc to call you at 10pm and tell you that though, I would make sure I am off everything right now.

Too much pottasium can cause heart arrhythmias. That's the reason for the panicky phone call. The same thing happened to my mother one day - can't remember the reason but her pottasium results were elevated and her doc made a call at midnight to make sure she was ok.

Thanks for the concern. I am off of everything and have my recheck on Friday the 4th. Wish me luck..........I did find out that my heavy usgage of No-Salt in place of salt could be a factor.

Not a Doc here but what is AST/ALT? I will ask the doc what they were in any event.

were your AST/ALT levels high? they are your liver values.

i would also suggest to push the water everyday. better than a gallon a day. this can keep those minerals moving through your system.

Ok all went well at the docs. Was told potassium testing was very delicate and the new test showed me well within limits. Thanks for yalls concern

Yes, my memory is a bit fuzzy on this but I think my mother's doctor indicated that if the blood samples were handled roughly, jolted around, etc., you can get a false positive for potassium. It is a delicate test in that sense.
