NBC’s American Gladiators: No steroids

NBC executives may have been juiced over American Gladiators’ stellar debut, but the gladiators themselves were all natural. That’s because NBC Universal subjected the gladiators to steroid testing before they could appear on the show.

The 12 cast members were tested as part of their medical examinations and then required to sign a document saying that they were clean and that they could be tested at any time.

now way FB. I remember that dude from the the late 90's he was at least twice his current size. he used to be on another gladiator type show. he came out in a white cape, anyone remember that show?

ha, maybe i am wrong. just looked at some old pics of o'hearn and he wasnt all that big. i remember him being huge, it funny how my concept of what huge is has changed since i was a kid.

I think the "all natural" should have an astrik. They may have tested clean but you know at least a few have used before.

There is a article in the new Maxim about the first American Gladiators. They were using steroids but when they were tested noone ever said anything about the results. I guess so they could say "We test them for steroids". Raye Hollitt (Zap) has admitted that there was a lot of sex, drugs, and partying on the show...
