hahahha BOUNCER . . . yes, the i-net was around . . . an old dialup . . . you didn't have a lot of user friendly web-pages, and you had to know some basic code sometimes . . . I think we used it more for emails than anything . . . this was more like mid 80's . . . the early 90's was when I really remember web taking off . . .

You could turn off graphics in webpages to speed things up when I was online, nowdays if you turn off graphics since most webmasters dont follow W3C standards you wont be able to navigate the fucking page, thankfully I have had broadband for the last 4 years.

I used WebCrawler as a search engine, it was not very much previous to when I was on the net in 90 that there would have been virtually no HTTP at all, and it would have been FTP, Gopher, Archie, and other archaic protocols like that with no graphics and no searchable functionality at all.

I dont imagine you've been to the "a.com" board but that is about as old school as you can get, low tek.

I guess i qualify as an old vet. I started powerlifting in1979. Did first stuff(anavar)in80.Then in 83 it started did eq,winny, finajet. I dont remmember seeing any of these baby 10,20cc.bottles then. It was all 50c. vet stuff.Just did 2cc ea. of everything a week. A50 and methandro. were popular too.But I used to get 50c bottles for$100. 100 A50s or methand.for $25 abottle then in later 80s 10ml vials showed up for 3/$100.It may of been different elseware but thats what I had. And 18g.pins were better than the big ones!

DG is 32, I think, and started when he was 17, if I remember correctly. So, that's right around 88-89...

I have a friend who is about 47 yrs old right now and he was juicing since he was 20 so that would of made it 1976!!

I will try to get him to join and tell so stories he has and he does have quite a few!!

From what I know prices back then were dirt cheap but you do have to take into consideration inflation so it almost averages out. Quality was a hell of a lot better back then compared to know and if you thought about it people back then that were competing were taking less back then and some were bigger than those competing now. Local shows were a lot more competitive and honest back then compared to now as more people were doing shows. Sometimes I think that BB was bigger back then but its just that more people were competing.

I have been juicing since the late 90's and I have seen a lot of changes from then to now with regards to products quality, availability and prices. Competing wise has also changed drastically were back then 3/4 of the people in my gym were all doing shows and this was the same at all the gyms around and now you will be lucky if you see a handful!!

It was easier for me back then. There were more doctors with less fear and vet. supplies easier with less bigbro watching. I could buy in a gym anyday in the lockerroom dufflebag dealer and HS sport coaches would give doctors names. I lived in midwest so cattle and horse supplies were everywhere. My dad was in it too but he didn't want me starting young so he'd never share his big boy contacts but didn't need anyway. It was a golden age but it was a lonely learning experience.Books were rare allthough phillips had an anabolic reference guide that was the shit.I posted prices that i could remem. When did they stop making the little blue round dbs?

I am 40 and been in the game since about 84. The older guys will agree with me that is was so simple then to get gear. I mean human grade right from a doctor. We had a fellow lifter who was a doc and he went out of his way to help us out, he just wanted to be accepted into our little circle. Needless to say he was our "best friend". I remember my first cycle of 200 d-bol, 2 bottles of test, and 10 weeks of deca was $120.
We didn`t get into vet gear until we found it was an easy way to make a buck if we took a trip to TJ. A few of you might remember the the infamous hotel in TJ where on the 7th floor you purchased goods in a professional type office out of a generic looking catalogue. At the time, fakes were very big down there....I think even more so than now.
If I remember right, here are some mid 80`s TJ prices.
                        test.....$6
                        blue 5mg d-bol (very good)...$12/100
                        acetate tabs.......$15/100
                        redi-jects..........$6
                        redi-ject deca...$6

                        I miss those days

I graduated in "88" took when a freshman so in "84".

I recall steris cyp 200mgs was going to a 15 yr old kid for $35.00 ea (most popular item).

I recall the bottles of blue d-bols made in usa with blue tops and white bottle and stuffed with cotton were also around 35.00 per 100 tabs.

I could get little 2 cc vials 200mg I believe in wrapped boxes of 20 or 25 little vials made in usa (can't recall company, "steris or upjohn??" popular US company) were only like $130.00 per boxed case.

I did get some anavar the 2.5 mg football shaped and blue were rather pricey like $85.00 per 100 tabs back than.

If I did I search I probably could still find pics and company's made most were American and easily available and think at age 15 I was getting ripped off a bit.
I still can't believe someone sold to me that young.

I could have got more aas but stuck to basic cycles this B.B'r recommended me.

Mostly d-bols, cyp, and deca with some var is what I started in my first yr.

I was 6'1 225 natural repping 225 lbs on the bench everyone thought I was on gear before I even was so I said what the hell!

Wish I would have waited until at least age 20..
                                I am still 6'1".

I later seen finaject was only dosed like 30mg or 50mg's (a friend shared a few shots with me) and some old foreign yellow label injectable d-bol was 50 cc dosed a few years later after "84" more like "87 or "88".

I was younger seemed the shit was stronger back then but probably not.
