I was giving myself my weekly HRT injection Tuesday using the 1 1/2" 30 ga needle my doc gives me and as you might expect with a needle that small you can not even really feel it and it makes the oil go in nice and slow so usually a very painless experience. Well I had the thing about an 3/4 " into my right quad and I stopped pushing the plunger for a minute and scratched an itch with my right hand while still holding the pin with the left when suddenly (and I still don't know how) I smacked my right hand down on top of my left that was holding the pin and it was no love tap I pounded that sucker like I was driving a framing spike with a 22 ounce hammer. I buried the needle all the way up to the hub and caused the flesh all around it to dimple in about 1/2" I said on crap that is going to hurt cause at the time I felt no pain at all. Well as I looked at the situation I wondered 1 if I had hit bone cause it stayed or two if I had now injected test cyp into a vein as there was very little left in the syringe after the smacking of the hands. So I slowly backed out to about 3/4 " and finished it off pulled out and as it backed out easily I figured there was no bone involved and was glad I had put on significant mass in the quad. There also was no more bleeding then usual. So no serious damage done. But to day it feels like that 16 penny nail was driven into my leg. I knew that was gonna hurt. Any way I just wanted to tell somebody man this hurts. Sorry I won't complain any more cause I was clumsy.
