  • Steroids can cause homicidal rage

    This is from WebMD :breakit:

    Anabolic Steriods

Steroids Can Cause Extreme Mood Changes

Steroids can also mess with your head. Homicidal rage can come from how steroids act on the brain. That's right. Non-violent people have been known to commit murder under the influence of these synthetic hormones.

Your moods and emotions are balanced by the limbic system of your brain. Steroids act on the limbic system and may cause irritability and mild depression. Eventually, steroids can cause mania, delusions, and violent aggression or "roid rage."

Wow, I'd love to see the scientific study that backs that statement. Gotta love the misinformation that abounds on the internet.

I have asked my M.D. about roid rage concerning test and he has told me several times that in the majority of healthy men that test has a calming effect but if there is some kind of "personality defect" then you can get increased aggression and anger. This of course is related to Hormone replacement therapy not steroid abuse. I have read an article by Anthony Roberts that says there are no clinically documented cases of "Roid Rage"

I have never seen any scientific back-up of the statement, or any type of roid-rage per that matter

You and me both - I honestly am much worse off and seem more stable on - I struggle with confidence/self-esteem a lot more when off/between cycles
