  • Arimidex vs nolva

All the reading I've done tells me that estrogen is needed during bulking cycles to "prime" the androgen receptors. So using nolva to keep gyno in check can cut your gains (if used too much). So, I'm wondering does arimidex have the same negative impact on gains?

they work in completely different ways.

nolv does not lower or stop the production of estrogen at all. it simply blocks it from getting to the receptors in breast tissue.

arimidex on the other hand actually lowers total estrogen in the body.

if i were you i would have nolv on hand when you start your cycle. dont use it unless you notice gyno starting to develop.

Most all types of ancillaries hinder gains in one way or another - some more than others but in the end they all act upon the chaos in the endocrine system/loops...

Nolva will help you about the same as Arimidex in keeping gyno at bay, just in different manners in terms of the way they affect your actual body....

Nolva will help you gain more weight but it will contribute to/won't stave off bloat......

Arimidex won't allow you as much weight on the scale or as much puffiness as Nolva but it will allow for much nicer and much leaner gains IMO....

Most people I know dry out much better when Nolva is out of the picture as well - definitely couldn't prep anyone I know for a show with Nolva in their system....

Alright, that makes sense....so is there ever a time when arimidex is a better option than nolva? Like post-cycle? If not, is there any reason to have the arimidex?

i personally like Armidex over nolv. by lowering estrogen you reduce the excessive bloat brought on by test and other steroids that automatize and cause estrogenic sides.

I would choose arimidex over nolva during a cycle any day of the week...

A-dex is better IMO for on cycle to help lower estorgen and keep sides away.

Nolva is better IMO for when sides hit like gyno it will block the estrogen from attaching to the receptors.

Nolva is also better IMO for post cycle to help recover your natural test levels it will also block the estrogen rebound. In other words when you take the test out and your estrogen is still high it will block the sides

Nolvadex is actually quite specific in targeting the breast tissue area.
Where an AI lowers full body estrogen production.

Personally Ive never seen negative impacts on gains when these are used right.
