  • Favorite cycles for fighters?

Just curious to hear from anyone on here who trains as a boxer, wrestler, BJJ, MMA, Muay Thai or whatever...what their favorite cycles are for performance and what their experiences are with those cycles.

I kind of have a question that goes along with this.

Why do fighters tend to favor winstrol? You see fighters testing positive for winny all the time and yet it seems like winny's effects would be contradictory to what a fighter would want.

Well winstrol causes strength gains, doesn't cause alot of weight gain that could push you out of your weight division and can cut you up to look good in the ring.

yeah but it also brittles all your connective tissue. I can think of a few other compounds that can do the same thing and not have the adverse affect.

Yeah , I wasn't advocating it I was just pointing out why fighters would choose it, remember alot of fighters have very little experience with gear and just take the advice of whoever they happen to be getting their gear from and I'm sure all of us have at one time or another heard some ridiculous advice from some suppose steroid guru who in fact only parrots things he has heard from other people around the gym.
Personally I'm a boldenone fan. Though the Russian fighters generally still stick with the classic Deca d-bol stack that the Russian wrestlers used to love so much.

Seriously the ones I talk with still think winny makes them loose weight. I had a guy just a few days ago ask me to get him some. I asked why he said to cut weight. I smiled and said get your diet in check youll be OK.

                Tested or no-tested?

GH for sure the rest would be based on testing or not.

Well we can leave this open..lots of shows are still untested and even with the tested shows there are often still options to circumvent the tests.. I was initially more interested in peoples own personal experiences but to make it more interesting..let's make it theorectical....what do you think would be the best cycle for a fighter in an untested environment..and to make it more interesting let's say we have a theoretical range of 9 lbs of possible weight gain (not water weight since we all know that can be sweat out before the weigh ins) and want to create the perfect cycle to provide the optimum performance for our fighter.

                    Wow so many options.
                    GH - EQ - anavar - test - tren
Id probably run anadrol instead of anavar cuzz it kills my appetite and would help keep my weight down. But then again im a heavy weight so it wouldnt matter for me.
any show un-tested would mean not sanctioned and would mean no money, so it wouldnt be worth it to me.

LOL.. you're kidding right ? there are lots of snactioned shows that pay and don't have testing lets see off the top of my Head there is FFI (not sure where you're from but they do shows in Alabama and MS primarily), and really any of the fight organizations in Alabama since its still really open territory, Jungle Fight, and plenty of others. I get calls everyday from promoters from shows that don't test and unless its an amateur show then they pay (and really even the amateur shows pay in the form of per diem).

But more to the point of the thread its a great cycle

Depends as always on the show as well as the match you know that if youre fighting for the "title" in whatever show as anywhere you get paid more than if you're a newbie, and of courswe it always depends on how good you are negotiating. You might want to look into some of the shows in AZ or NM..I get calls from there occasionally..but of most of my work now is for international shows Russia, UK, Japan, and Australia (though I haven't done much there recently since Randy Babbel's organization fell apart).
Florida pays pretty well and generally there isn't any testing except for WEC. Your problem of course is that whenever a promotion brings in someone from so far away you can usually bet that they are trying to sandbag you and feed you to some local favorite that no one else locally wants to fight.

For the record by the way these aren't "my" shows I don't promote shows personally anymore (to much headache really) for the last eight years or show I work exclusively as a contractor putting shows together for whoever pays me the most whenever I feel like working that is (I say that because I'm basically lazy at heart something and getting lazier everyday ;).
As I said though I live in Rio now and just fly for the shows I work on.

Just didn't want you to think I was sayiong I'm some bigshot or something..more like a lazy whore I guess... ;) Its not really about the money though I do it because I love it and don't tell anyone but I'd probably do it for free.
