I will try and explane what works best for me.
first you need dumbells, stand straight up with your chin to your chest(looking down) Pinch you traps together in the back.(keeping your shoulders back) Now move them up while still pinched. keeping them pinched on the way up is tricky and going back down with them pinched is even harder. this is where everyone I have ever showed messes up. remember to keep your chin down.
try it right now with no dumbells I bet you will feel it
Still trying to better understand this movement.... Is the range of motion very restricted? When I do this the way you explain(I think) I can only move my shoulders up maybe 2 inches or so? Also how much weight are you using with how many reps & sets? Thanks again for your input Rocket!

Ya I can only go up 2-3 inches. I only use 100lb DBs that is all I can realy hold long enough. Besides 100lbs in each side works for me anyways. I dont realy count but I would say 12-15 reps. Making sure I go all the way up and holding/flexing at the top. Going back down is the trickest part your trap automaticaly want to open up.
I have a different way to explain. Have someone put their finger in the middle of the trap area that your talking about and pinch their finger with your traps. now move the weight up and down while still pinching their finger. You already keep your head down witch is very important. Keep it pinched on the way down.
Ok, as I said before I have gone ahead and started the synthrol "cycle" with 1/2 cc in each trap. The injects were alot easier then I first thought that they were going to be. I waited 3 days after doing the initial shot and did another 1/2 cc in each waiting just one day to do the next. And I swear to you that they are almost where I want them to be already! I can't believe how much bigger they have gotten already and I have only done 3 shots totaling 1.5cc in each trap. Now I understand that it is probably just swelling however I am more then happy with how much I have gained in this short amount of time! I have been EXTREMELY careful to make sure I do them evenly on each side and thus far are exactly the same size. And honestly not sure how much more I will need to do to get them where I want them to be( I just wanted to add a little mass as they seem to always be lagging behind). This stuff is great! I will keep you guys posted with any progress! Sure wish there was a way that I could have measured them before and after......
Is it really such a good idea to keep your chin down like that? I'm not so sure about that. Seems like you'd be risking neck injury.
I've always heard that if you want big traps, do deadlifts. Or even cleans from the floor or high pulls. Seriously, do a few sets of the clean portion of the clean and jerk and you'll feel it for sure. Your traps aren't meant to move weight by themselves, so isolating them isn't going to cause them to grow as much as using the muscle group that they're a part of. Pulling from the floor up to your chest or shoulders is a very effective way to do that.
When on cycle I hit them harder then normally so I would say 2 every 8-9 days. When I do traps I do back as well with the exception of lats. (that has it's own day) Anyway I do 4 sets of behind the back shrugs with a wide grip. Do higher reps (12-15) and my last reps are to complete failure. I then do reverse flys for only a couple sets and these are 12-15 reps as well. I know I am hitting the right part of the muscle because about 24-36 hours later they are sore as hell. (god I love being sore) I have tried just about everything out there for this muscle group and when I say tried I mean I did it for 6+ months straight with the above stated workout being the one that gets the sorest and has seemed to give me the best results. That said they are still not where I want them to be. Any workout advice is appreciated however I think I may jump over the fence on this one as I am tired of them not growing. Fake or not at least they will be bigger.......

every other week - set all three movements up and do them in sucession with no pause between sets

I think I may be able to help you here. It has more to do with form than genetics. I have the exact opposite problem cause of the way i work them. Instead of a up and down movement try pulling back as you go up like your trying to squeez your shoulder blades together, this works best on a independent CHEST HAMMERSTRENGTH PRESS ( like lifting wheel barrow handels )
Ok, I'm not sure this is the correct forum as this technically is not a steroid but felt that this question is best suited here... anyhow here goes: I consider myself fairly advance with respect to # of cycles under my belt, probably better then average when it comes to knowledge on this stuff and feel that I figured out what types of work outs my body responses to best. However it seems that my never ending quest to enlarge my back has led be to thinking that my genes are simply not going to permit my traps to develop in the fashion that I would like. I am thinking of trying synthrol as a last attempt to accomplishing this goal of mine. I should probably further clarify my goal here and that is to make my traps protrude out from my back side further not so much the portion of the traps that you see from the front but wish to have them stick out sort of like pecs do in on our chest but rather with my traps. Basically what I am shooting for here (no pun intended :rofl: ) the look when you look at someone from behind, and you can see their traps sticking out. Not alot of guys genetically have this gift, I being one of them and am pretty much ready to try anything to get this appearance. Looking at a Spinal Nerves Anatomical chart, the traps appear to have a TON of nerves running through them and I was wondering if anyone has ever hit these before and what their experience was? I have seen the spotinjections.com how-to on where to inject but this nerves chart scares me! Let me know your thoughts? Any input greatly appreciated!!

For a back workout try heavy deadlifts, heavy rows, shrugs, and lateral raises. to get the look you want stop hitting them with veritcal angle of pull. you need to hit them with a horizontal angle. If you want back thickness you need horizontal pulling and deadlifting.

exactly,if you compete use it to bring that pop to your muscle,but not to add size.Thats just stupid. N btw Valentino injected EQ and such not synthol.One of my friends works with him from time to time.
